If you do nothing else I would at least make some of the players right now and throw them on special teams so they get what experience they can now and can still take advantage of the season ending boosts. If you wait until next season you miss out on 4 crucial boosts that you can't get back and the experience you could get from the last 5 or so games..

I have no issues with re-rolls and starting over when builds become obsolete. I've built my own guys with builds contingent on the future and not necessarily now. I know more changes are taking place each day and eventually the best all around builds will be most successful.

We still believe that we have a chance to win the title. Even with our crappy builds we've been close to beating WC and H-Wood. We have a plan for next season but we are still playing for a ring this season.

so suppose you do win the title this season. do you still retire the reigning champion? either way i have no problem with the thinking here. i've always respected the guys from Windsor and wish you all luck (just not too much)

Yes, as Mike Murphy would say "we have crossed the Rubicon".

I think it is laughable that you suggest that our game planning has something to do with it. I guarantee that we game plan more than any team in this league, and plan better... Example is BTB. We are under leveled and 1st in the division, that goes because of our planing and the correct builds, or better builds, we have for our players.

I believe the real reason why everyone is so whinny is because you know this is going to help us out and in 3 seasons you won't have a chance in this league.. you don't really have one now and you guys still bitch. I just find the negative response by most of you laughable and sad.

Our plan, win or lose, is as posted in this thread.

If there was any indecision on our part, we wouldn't have posted our intentions. If there was any dubious intention, we wouldn't have posted this. If the plan was to sign some of the Windsor refugees to BTB, then either myself or Sir William would have posted that as intended. Since neither of us posted that, but instead said VERY CLEARLY that we will be retiring our players, you can count on that happening.

If you don't believe that, and you want to cry and bitch and moan, then by all means go right ahead. And if it makes you feel good about your role within this game to personally monitor both rosters on a daily basis, then go right ahead. I certainly don't give a shit what you all do with your own personal time, but you'll be spinning your wheels looking for something suspicious out of us.

And like Will said, we aren't giving up on this season. Our plan is to be as competitive as we can be with Windsor. Believe it or not, we played the Windsor/BTB game straight up - and BTB won. After that game, we decided to stop talking about rebuilding Windsor and to instead start planning for it. The other reason we're waiting for the start of Season 5 is to plan for when BTB players start to decline. At that point, we'll probably do this all over again with that team.

I hope that clears up any confusion, and at least slows down the rumor mill.

We won't have a chance in this league because we will no longer be in it.

Why should you get player repsecs because you have an unbalanced build or didn't know the "perfect" build for your first player?

Clearly this isn't in the works for the game, or we might have gone this route instead. I had a conversation with one of the Admins about it a couple weeks ago, and he's trying to persuade Bort to add this to the game, but so far Bort doesn't see it as a priority change.

I told him that there are about 40 people on Windsor that will no longer be sending $20 a month into Bort to buy FlexPoints since we're just going to retire our players and live off the reimbursement points for awhile. It's my experience in games like this, that when you start affecting the Development Team's cash flow, you start to see results. Now I know for a fact it will take more than a measly 40 people to see the kind of change we're interested in, but it's a start.

Regardless, many of us are unhappy with the spontaneous and drastic changes to the simulation. Rather than slowly work our way around the changes just in time for skill declination, we're starting over with Windsor. Beer Town will go through a change like this too, probably for the start of either season 10 or 11. Depends on how drastic the skill drop off is.

I would hope that there is something they could figure out this off season, but I feel most things would be exploited. I doubt you did this, but many new players just dumped points into SAs and letting them redo retard builds is different than letting people adjust tweaked and modified game physics builds.

Just wanted to say good luck Windsor. Solid decision that will pay off big dividends in the long run.

any chance you want to start early? like say in time for the next game.

Either way, good luck and hopefully the game physics wont change too many more times over the next couple seasons so you dont have to do this again.

NO it's not...Bort instituted the 3 player from team to another team trade in one move as prevention from collusion. A team can do this 2 times a season as long as the trades are 20 days apart.

If Windsor wants to move players that don't want to retire to BTB then it's legal. Idiotrav30 can go smoke more dope if he thinks it isn't.

With Windsor addressing this issue in this forum and being straight forward about it, then NONE of you should have any problem with it. Even if some or none move to BTB.

Windsor is right on about being frustrated with the current state of the game. So far all we have seen since this "GAME" started is never ending changes to it (most are not even announced until someone asked WTF happened or I see a change, then Bort admits he "changed" something) There is nothing more frustrating than spending your real dollars to play a fake internet game that changes the rules constantly and you don't even know the changes were made until after the fact.

Now onto Idiotrav30...you haven't changed you just stopped showing your stupity when your little fake team started to win. Maybe all you losing teams should start to cry rigged everytime you lose.
