The reality is that yes this is an A league. However this A league had as much talent in it 2 seasons ago as most AAA leagues. Yes there were a few week teams, but other than those there were probably 6 teams in each division that were good enough to go up to the AA league above us and be a strong playoff contender there. This IS the sand box league, kid.
This league has consistently been one of the top 10 ranked leagues based on average player level. While I'm perfectly able to admit that everyone is 3 seasons away from USA Pro (at a minimum), you can look at the teams that have been promoted from USA A2 and see that they are very successful at the next level. If Lincoln gets promoted to USA AA1 next season, I don't think we'll need to do anything special to continue being competitive.
The fact that you consider this a sandbox league probably speaks more about you than it does about the actual league.
