Toronto, Ontario.. New Homes of the Bills! LOL. That should piss off a few folks.
I guess on a related note (is it ok to hijack my own thread?) how does everyone feel about the prospect of the NFL expanding to become global?
Personally I would love to see a Canadian team as well as a Mexico City team, and perhaps 4-6 European teams. Definately would require some forescheduling but it would make things interesting.
You really think the guys traveling to Europe for games would be a good idea. I could only see it happening in a thursday/following Monday game. I saw how awful the MLB teams took the trip to Japan at the start of the season. I can't imagine sitting for a 12 hour plane trip after Urlacher sticks his helmet into my neck for four quarters.
If European trips took place, it might alter a fantasy drafting strategy to trend downwards in value towards those players involved.
I think it would still be a game to the regular "monday night viewer" but have a catastrophic effect on the pampered players week. Heck, divisional road records are bad enough. How bad would they be then

I completely agree, but none the less that is the biggest market outside the US in the Western Hemisphere. Money can be very pursuasive.
As for the concept of European teams, I saw someone run an idea past me which was to have them play 8 games in the US to start the season and then 8 in Europe to close it out. That would keep the travel to a minimum and take less of a toll on their bodies sleep wise. Because of this you could have the divisions that they are slotted to play that year come over and stay for a month to play all 4 as opposed to bouncing back and forth thus giving it a little more stability. Its definately very rough, but the idea does have promise... but again personally I would just like to see 1 or 2 teams placed in Canada/Mexico first.
