Yeesh, our passing game was pretty crappy.

Ours was horrendous. I had it set to pass to the HBs 0% of the time and our leading receiver was our HB. WTF?

Wondering if anyone had any penaties?

Yes there are new plays on the offense also.....which I like.

The Horns committed one false start penalty, but that was it. I think they are probably a bigger deal for some of these 'perfect build' guys with the limited mental attributes or just lower level players.

we had 0 penalties, but we were going against much lower level players so that may have impacted it.

the QB will always check down to the HB, 0% just means you had 0% plays specifically targeted for the HB.

Regardless - our passing was pretty bad as well. first time under 50% in a long time - though we had a significant amount of drops so that may have been the bigger issue.

We threw for 35% at 3.5 YPA and Richardson has been extremely efficient throughout his career. We threw for 314 at a 71% clip (albiet with 3 picks) in the title game against them last year too, and we boosted. It sounds like WR play has been a common problem, I think it might have to do with the new WR 1/2/3 depth charts.

Has anyone figured out how to properly use the CB1/CB2/etc. spots on the depth chart ?

Leaving them blank didn't work... the top 2 CBs played the entire game. The #3/#4 CBs only came in against 3/4 WR formations. I see other teams who had filled their CB1/2/etc. spots one deep had the same issues.

WTF ?

It looks like you have to set someone as a backup at each of those spots because each is considered a "starting position". The old ones were theoretically supposed to operate normally but seemed to go with the same setup.

EDIT : Cut & paste wrong answer into wrong post. Too much multitasking.

You have to remember energy does not come into play during these games

interesting. I suppose if we both have 0 penalties in our scrimmage game, then we know we're good in that department

I know there's no post-game energy, but I thought there was at least in-game energy.... right ?

If there wasn't in-game energy, then why did substitutions happen? My second string CB5 even came in for a few plays at that position, as did my third string FS...
