The west was dominant last season, but it appears that the east has closed the gap this season.

I don't know. That Grizzlies game against the Raiders is telling. Most of us believed any of the top 9 in the West would place 3rd in the East, but that might not be the case.

Okay, maybe that's arguable, but the West is still much stronger 1-8. Congrats to the east on a nice day tho..

Ok thats just revisionist history trying to draw a few of us offsides. If anything, the conferences were thought to be more balanced last season and the east was looked down upon this entire season (and that was never challenged by many of us) until today.

Good game cats. Can't believe yall dropped to a 5 seed with that loss. That sucks donkey balls.

There are really only two "surprises" in week 16, I put quotes around it because it's really not that impossible that they happened:
1. The Shark's margin of victory over TCW. Everyone thought the Sharks would probably win the game, personally I thought they had 70% chance of winning, but no one expected this margin.
2. New York Griz beating the Raiders. This was an upset in my books, great job Griz. But the Raiders were and are the 8th seed team from the West and the margin of victory was 3.

The Pewnts and Superior game I think could have gone either way, if these two teams played 10 times, they would probably split 5/5. As for the rest of the games, they were all meaningless. The other 6 upper tier teams from the West played bottom half of the East, and the other upper tier teams from the East played bottom feeders from the West.

So what did we find out? 1) Superior and Pewnts are fairly even matched. 2) The Sharks are probably just a notch below those two, everyone else is in the second tier or below. 3) NY Griz can play (we already knew that from their playoff run in the BBB8 last season, first round upset?). 4) Maybe the gap between the East and West is not that far off (I still think the West top teams are slightly better though just because at least some of the teams in the west gave the Pewnts a game during the season, where as no one really challenged Superior and Sharks from the East during the season).

No offense to the Lesser Grizz or anything but this is what our game planning looked like:

Buck set your favorite target to Biff Slamcrotch. This will give us the best chance to win.

(We didn't play that though, just lots of people MIA)
Props to the lesser grizz anyway, was a close game!

anyone can slice it how they want today...but the fact still remains that the East went 9-7 today...from what i seen...a 3 game swing from what many people had...

and im not really sure what evilrubberducky is talking about with resting starters...their starters played just as much as they have all season?

Ya, bummer on our loss. We gotta play the hand we're dealt though.

We can still get a home game in the playoffs if we can beat the Bolts (but they'll be looking for revenge) and if the Raiders can upset the Pewnts. In that case, we'd get a home game against the Raiders.

I'd like to see that happen, but I won't hold my breath. Right now, we need to be concerned about our own team (not the Raiders and not the Pewnts) because we didn't do very well against the Sharks and that is something we really need to look at or the Bolts will turn around and blow us out too.

We haven't lost many games and the ones we did drop have always been very close...right up until the Sharks game. That Sharks game is going to sting for awhile.

Or then again, the Raiders had nothing to play for since they were locked in at 8th. So maybe they rested starters or used crappy tactics on purpose or something.

The NY Griz were also in the playoffs even with a loss.

Yeah, but you guys had to win that game for you to not got get the 7 or 8 seed, to avoid the Sharks and Superior Griz.

Monkeys, did you notice, your only a decent team when you face your own level of competition? Its not like you can really talk shit anymore, being the 5th seed or whatever, lol. Goodluck though, highly doubt you get to advance.

Umm, Chris, would you like to apologize by kissing my ass? Or maybe letting me fling poo in your face?
