I changed something against Plainville. Clearly not something I should have. But I didn't want to make it seem like Plainville didn't deserve the win, because clearly they do (did). I figured it would get posted but then I got busy with work and life stuff so I didn't end up posting.

Gimli can be stopped but not many teams seem to be setup to do it because everyone has been building elusive/combo backs for so long that all the defensive builds have adjusted to that. Plainville can clearly tackle a powerback. Grats them.

That's the plan against Zone. And if you try to run blitz the Weak C gap, then you're massively exposed to the Strong A-B gaps. The Weak OT plays went 20 for 215 yards.

Was a GG against Gliwice. He's got a great passing Offense.

Losing TD on 1st play is a blow to morale:/ It is hard to recover. If not some INT this could gone another way. GG anyway. I try to improve my zone and I thing I improved a bit.

It is great to play vs some non standard D. Every1 should go Xar's way and go his own way rather than copy...

I guess you'll be watching me again since I play BSB next.

What I'm going to do I have no idea.

RNG for the win!

Haha! Looking forward to it! Should be a good game!

Nothing quite like having a full defensive PB thrown at you. No doubt you will figure something out if you choose to do so. Haha.

Crazy game Xars. We were rolling until Legolas got going, which then brought Gimli to life, and then turnovers, missed kicks, FF on QB kneels and everything. Nearly had a stroke!!!

Hahaha

GG.

Vet Kicking is ridiculous. You miss a 29 yarder and I miss a 38.

I knew I was in trouble when you got the bomb TD and the one just before halftime and I wasn't able to answer.

The OT plays were obviously the strategy and Gimli averaged 5.1 overall and 45 BRKT, but I was thinking I'd get a yard more than I did on each of those OTs. We did 5.4 and I was thinking 6.5.

Pretty much the difference right there.

Xars, you should have thrown more. You shredded BSB with your passing game. You didn't start passing until you fell behind, 24-7. Then, you quickly scored a TD by passing down the field...and went right back to running %100 of the time.

Yeah, our defenders are just stout enough against the run for the most part and the defensive play calling variety makes it so little will continously abuse us throughout a game. Had us on the ropes at the end there though for sure. Was definitely an epic watch and I expected a relatively low scoring game which was certainly the case.

I would recommend attempts at hybrid defenses to anybody, as they offer so much flexibility and really open up the defensive PB in a way that people have not been able to previously.

Yep..1980s is going from all zone to hybrid. This is more to help the passing defense than the running defense.

I know it seems like that but I don’t really see it playing out that way. You shred the D until you get picked. I wanted to control the game and that’s what my running plan did.

If he doesn’t get the 74 yd TD on the missed tackle, it’s a different game. We easily could have won that 21-17 and then all the running would have made sense.

And even with getting behind, we had the chance to tie it up with a minute left.

We’ll play H2H at least 2 more seasons.

It seems to generate enough Play Diversity bonus to offset the negatives of running two systems.

Yeah. It works our pretty well. Takes solid physical skills across the board though.

I guess I am doing a quasi-hybrid defense. Only my CBs will ever play man defense. My safeties and LBs will always play zone or blitz. And I am only playing man defenses against trip formations...and even then, it will be 40/60 zone/man defense.
