Maybe in the final ladder match of the season, but it's doubtful the stars will align that way... You'd have to probably call for a scrimmage game.

Throwing to the invisible receiver... or the worst case of QB accuracy you've ever seen?

Lack of arm strength. A shame because I think the WR had his man beat.

What?! Are you seeing the same play I am? Charles Woodson had him covered like white on rice. He was trailing close and as soon as the ball was thrown he caught up and even passed the WR1 Elliot... But you are correct that Noodle Arm could barely reach WR2 down the right sideline let alone throw across his body to the WR1 going down the left sideline.

If the QB had a decent arm, I think the WR have the advantage. The DB is trailing and likely won't be aware of the pass location in time to stop the catch. Not with rookie level skills anyway

But let's look at it this way. It's a loooong throw to begin with giving the DB in coverage more time to react. DB did react almost immediately when the QB threw the pass. The WR did not increase speed nor adjust to the ball's flight path at all. even if the WR's reaction was to slow down a bit the DB didn't overrun the WR by 5 yards as we've seen in previous seasons but maintained close coverage. I still hold that the DB would win this matchup even if the I.T. tech arm built QB had a construction worker's arm instead.

Biff Barf here. I'm soaking up all this late season news and barfing it back at you! It's the Playoffs! What a wild wild Card classic we had and Titans of the divisional titles tussle in a toss-up to take homefield in the championship!

Deadpool's Mercs for Money AT Daltonville Donnybrooks
Playoff game on Season 51, Day 43 at 11:00 Lt. Snow, 14°F, Winds: 5mph
......................................1st 2nd 3rd 4th OT Total
Deadpool's Mercs for Money 0 .. 7 .. 7 .. 0 .. 0 .. 14 ...Final
Daltonville Donnybrooks...... 7 .. 0 .. 0 .. 0 .. 0 .. 7
Deadpool's Mercs for Money started this season as an after bir... thought and clawed their way to barely snatching the wild card spot. Their prize for achieving this feat? Take on the undefeated in league play Daltonville Donnybrooks! Weather may have played a deciding factor but it was a home game for the Daltonville Donnybrooks and the mighty Donnybrooks started hot out the gates taking a first quarter lead that lasted until less than 2 minutes left in the second where DMFM QB Vanessa Carlysle threw a pass to TE Machine-Gun Murphy, who made the catch for an 11 yard gain and a touchdown! In the third, HB Milkshake Special ran for a 22 yard go ahead score and Deadpool's Mercs never look back.

Gridiron Goolies AT Honolulu Heartbreakers
Playoff game on Season 51, Day 43 at 11:00 Lt. Snow, 14°F, Winds: 5mph
.............................1st 2nd 3rd 4th OT Total
Gridiron Goolies........ 14 . 0 .. 3 .. 3 .. 0 .. 20 ...Final
Honolulu Heartbreakers 0 .. 0 .. 7 .. 7 .. 0 .. 14
The Beta Division winning Gridiron Goolies Jumped out to commanding 14 point first quarter lead and then weathered the storm of the Honolulu Heartbreakers comeback surge in the second half. The Heartbreakers, winners of the Gamma Division, were able to close to within 3 early in the fourth on a HB Harrison Bergeron sweep for 6 yards and a TD, but proceeded to lose steam shortly after as Goolies' Kicker, Chucky ' split the uprights on a 32-yard field goal! Even though they still had 11 minutes to work with the appropriately named Heartbreakers crushed their fans dreams as Gridiron went home with the ticket to the 'ship.

True, but if the QB had a good arm and threw an accurate pass I feel the WR would have more balance giving more speed to the ball. The DB spent quite a bit of balance on that cut. To me the WR should grab that as long as he has decent Catch in Traffic and even modest balance.

Ah! But it's a Monday, in March no less and the DB is wearing his Superman Underoos too! So... since the WR hasn't even read War and Peace, yet. I doubt highly the price of Tea in China will be effected by the popularity of underwater basket weaving in India enough to change the course of the laden swallow to... of course that depends on if it's African or European Swallow... But still!
