I think i can tell you what corndog means by how he is saying things.
He is saying a balanced offense that doenst just keep running to the outside. that is still basically the same play. A diverse team will run up the middle, pass deep, run off tackle, run inside, run outside, pass short, screen pass, then deep pass.
This would be an example of a set up that is diverse. Its not exactly about what plays specific is called but more about the types of plays that are called in succession and how often its changed up.
