Alright, I still don't agree with we need to stay for 1 more season but how about this. What if we're not supposed to be equal, and this is Bort's plan. Think about it in Baseball terms of the minor league system. Is Class A as good as AA or is AA as good as AAA and so on. Obviously some teams are better then others due to talent but What if Bort wants it to be this way for us to earn our keep.

But in baseball, the entire A team does NOT move up to AA, only players that have advanced to that level of play get to move up. If it is going to be that way, then each league needs a cap on player levels, and then the individual players can move up, while the teams stay in place.

The cap will go up next year with us.. it's not like we are doomed to keep bringing in level 13's no matter how long you are in the league.

yes promotion is a bad idea you are just going to have people in Canada A throwing playoff games so the best might not even make it its going to be some bottom playoff team who got unlucky and happened to win

Again i suggested the agent that started this thread just PM Bort/Thorn/DD or even the new guy and just ask them their intentions.

They might not tell us, they might tell us teams will get promoted or something. But at least it might stop some of the speculation and give some of us peace of mind.

As the quiet minority here apparently, I don't mind if there's promotion. Sure it will be tough and my players won't get super elite stats, but for some reason that doesn't bother me. Regardless there's gonna be a ton of re-recruiting once the cap is lifted in the 'A' leagues or if you get promoted to an uncapped league - Your team will not stay the same as it is now if you want to compete in either situation. Even with promotion, the disparity between teams won't be as high as people are worrying about so long as GMs pick up their pouty lower lip do their job.

That's not really the issue so much. I would like to keep much of the team we already have together. Having to replace a bunch of good owners sucks. It's punishing them for their success. Is that fair?

I know that I personally would not want to win out in my league. We did heavy recruiting to fill all our positions and we have a good group of players. I do not want to have to replace those guys after one season. I am happy with my players.
