Deliver a hit, Cover the 1v1, and Force Fumbles. I feel like this would be an effective combination as the more monstrous hits a player receives, the quicker his "Heart" stat goes down and the less likely he would be able to catch a pass near the SS or away from him. If he catches it his heart goes down, if he doesn't his heart goes down, if he fumbles it his heart goes down. A three pronged attack to SHUTDOWN a player in his entirety.

I'd personally give up on the heavy FF part of your build, even with S* you won't have enough SP to stop S* receiving TE's AND not miss tackles vs. S* power backs. Considering that S* TE's spent all their skill points on receiving and S* backs spend all their SP on running and you have to spread your skills to stop both, it's tough to be great at everything.

The last team I was on benched my high power tech SS for a FF SS and against good teams he gave up more big plays than he created.

The easy league games with 60+ - 0 scores led to 2+ FF a game which inflated his overall FF stats but in games against actual good teams against S* backs he was useless and had way too many missed tackles.

He wouldn't be missing those tackles if he had high tack tech and some grip. You can build a S* SS with 81 conditioning, 71 tack tech, 72 tack power, 61 grip, 45 quick/foot, 96 sprint and 70 deflect.

monster hit probably not being employed there though. likely first step/3rd down stopper, closing speed, brick wall.

Coverage Tech gets no love in this game, what's the freaking point of investing so much into deflecting if your guy can't even keep up on a cut (and the TE plays have quite a bit of cuts)

That is why no one will ever build a better pass coverage DB than me, coverage tech is a must

75 is usually where I max out my Cov Tech on my S*SS's.

I don't spend one point in cov tech.

Oh I don't build a lot of S. I think 70 is about the max I'd use on a cover S though. I only go to 80 on CBS though lol. Maybe I should try higher though who knows

Yeah, even when writing that I was like, "How am I going to get 65+ points for Cov Tech, Tech Tackle, Power tackle, Strip, Pursuit, Condit, Sprint, Man Aware, Zone Aware, and Deflect?!".

Give up strip and you are good.

You can but you have to put 0 into strip and go down some on aware. All others your can get passed 65. You can even get foot/quick to 45 or higher and some intimidation. It really depends on how high you go in sprinting.

Is speed the only benefit of sprint? Do I get momentum from it? What is good end build speed at SS? I'm looking for something average or a tiny bit lower.

Depends. I think sprint is more important on a zone SS as he is the last line of defense on the right side. My S*SS will end with 96 sprint. My SS doesn't cover a specific man, he just roams and tries to deflect or knock loose balls thrown in his area. He needs 0 cov tech.

For a man SS covering the TE, sprint is important but probably doesn't need over 80 or 85. You can use those extra SPs for other things like deflect, cov tech, awareness, etc...

How is this for a potential S*SS build? Slow Build WILL NOT BE IN THE FINIAL BUILD! If I am going for TE coverage 1v1 and Balanced tackling, how should I change this? How should I keep it the same?

What attributes and 3 Bio Skills should I get? What skills after? What should I train up with SPs?

You want too much out of one build which is why we can't exactly help you. We base our players on how we use them scheme-wise. Think about what type of player you NEED for the scheme he'll be playing in. Once you have that sorted out then it'll be easier to help you. Because honestly speaking, you don't need a hard hitting or stripping safety, but if your going to utilize him in such a way then your good. If you want him to cover the TE then you won't get anything but high tackling tech and good grip.

Figure out what you need rather than what you want and it'll be much easier for you
