As much as I sound negative, I wanna see if my d&d background can overcome this min/maxing fad people have here for once lol. My only real concern is sinking too many pts in worthless stuff like strip tech tho. I figure that the data sample would tell me the picture better if I build a whole well rounded team by myself... I'd be pretty happy if I ever win a playoff game lol

Bottom line, I'm only here to burn my flex bank, figured that since I spent a fuckton of money on this ting, I should just make the most out of it...

That's cool too. Maybe create a post asking what all of the worthless skills are for different positions. It will certainly spark some debate on some skills for various positions but there are many skills fore very position that seem to have little effect. Maybe you can avoid those at the very least? LOL

I know you like to build "well rounded" players but even in the NFL/College, some players are specialist, like pass rushers, run stuffers, etc.... Every team has specialist (min/max) players in real life too.

Oh yeah, I have some builds like that, after all, if you don't have some kind of specialists, you will have a hard time creating turnovers on def, game breaking plays on off, or your special teams will get run over. I'm also one of the weird guys who enjoy the CFL (being Canadian, I could be biased tho lol), so I will try to include some of those concepts. Given how Marc Trestman couldn't translate his success he enjoyed with the Alouettes to the Bears, we'll see how that ship sails (but we could also say that the Bears mangament is pretty shitty, they shoulda thrown Cutler in the sewers instead of giving him that shitty contract to begin with).

I have one build with Opportunist tho, is it worthwhile at all at bronze level?

It's not at gold, so...

Ha, we poked at each others buttons too much. We were too similar. Doesn't mean we didn't have good times as well.

Min/maxing fad drives me nuts, too. Far too many one-dimensional, streaky players--often because people don't understand how SAs work. You see it sometimes with the 100 PRT and 50 FW--and 40-50 consistency. Oy vey.

That I'm an economist by trade makes the marginal utility that much more painful. lol.

Or as if Olympic runners were ever good at football...

I don't want to spoil how I'm building my team yet, but hopefully the gameplan and the synchronicity of the builds will make up for the top edge skill level, (I,m sure it won't be that hard to figure out sooner then later lol).

If you're looking for someone to provide some ballers, let me know. There are times when niche min/maxing makes sense, and I'd enjoy actually taking part on an active team to offer my take. I've done this for a while, but I haven't been on a really active team since like season 15-20 of GLB1.
