Came up with a similar game design back in '98. The studio I was working for was bought by electronic arts... we wanted to make a sports MMO, but back then, latency would have crushed any attempt at an online game that required serious timing if played arcade fashion, so a few of us got together and pounded out a design that allowed for character development while the AI utilized those stats and predetermined mentalities to play the game out on the field.

I was sad that the project never saw the light of day, because I wanted to play the game we had envisioned. Very glad I found this, been looking a long time

There are 2 similar franchises...McDonalds has Chicken Nuggets and Burger King has Chicken Tenders...both franchises are known for burgers...moral of this story...ah never mind I don't know where I was goin' with this
