No - many in this thread are simply trying to see/share what we think the GLB2 vision was --- WHY they did these things.

I think we pretty much all agree with you that the system sucks -- is bad for the game -- is bad for players -- is too expensive -- and would benefit from a change.

It's not my mind at all. I am asking someone else about their claims. I have made none of my own. Not that complicated. Or at least it shouldn't be.

This isn't P&R. Keep your silly arguments over there where they belong.

Are you scared of playing teams on an even playing field or something? Do you actually take pride in easy wins against equals? I'm not and I don't.

At no point did I say that, nor did I infer it. I am speaking only to my interpretation of the design of this game...a design the devs have stood behind since its inception. I just don't see them changing it at this time.

Here you go Osiris:

"I'm pretty content with chemistry.

It emphasizes having staggered roster resets, as well as rotating starters and backups throughout their time spent on your team, and discourages "farm teams" that just replace everyone as well as seasonal ringers."

Stop farming teams and reset or pay for career boosts. It's pretty simple.

Look, I don't mind their structure.. I just wish Rookie to Vet was the same level of fun. As it stands, Rookie to Seasoned is pure shit to watch and not fun at all. Jman and Pro are OK( you can kind of see your team's identity coming out) and Vet is fun.

If this game is all about the "build process", Every tier until Vet should be equally as fun, and right now it just isn't that way. I feel like Im getting 3-4 seasons of entertainment out of 7.

and then to ask us to pay for more "fun seasons" is kind of bullshit.

Career Boosts should not cost any more than the normal SP boost you buy when go up a tier. Keep the cost the same, I think that's reasonable and they still make their money.

Your interpretation is utterly ludicrous. You claim the developers devoted development effort to create things they don't want people to click on.

And these are developers that are very stingy with their time and aren't know for just churning out a bunch of features just because.

I'm not resetting. Vet is the only tier that is enjoyable to me and worth the time put into it.

I'm not sure how searching the PLFT forum and the marketplace is farming. They are both game features. I am just giving those players a chance to watch their finished builds play.

If you don't like seasonal ringers then you have to get better. You have to put the same effort into it as the top teams and it will pay off. We use to get crushed by teams anywhere near the top 5, then we got crushed by most of those teams, latter we started getting wins on occasion. It's about getting better.

My team started with 100% random agents. I had no clout and didn't really know anyone. Our roster is still random, just taking whatever free agents we can get. I'm not sure how I am farming, I'm just trying to field a team and play.

He quoted Corndog.

everyone here agrees with you. no one is arguing with you. you are just ranting and raging against people who are just trying to give you the back story to how we got here.

Speaking if quotes this one is ridiculous.

"I've seen in many team and private forums about teams having a decent showing, and being excited about how "dominant" they will be when they get their chemistry built up. They usually aren't, but it still gives something to look forward to after replacing some key positions."

I can't really see myself posting. "Great game guys! We scored 17 in that one and only gave up 56! We are going to be dominant by the end of the season, of course their will be no playoffs or ladder race but it's all so exciting! Awesome way for you all to finish your careers!"

I understand air's comment about the design is to make teams reset and start over because that is how they make money but they could also make money by people career boosting. It seems like a large amount of us do not use career boosts because of the price. I like others would be ok with the price if each boost was worth a season.

This would keep some teams hanging out at the top longer but they still would eventually have to replace people but when they do if people are actually career boosting then they could have those players for more than a season or 2.

This would make us players happier while still spending flex. Essentially we would spend more flex per a player but we could have him around longer. I rarely career boost but if each one allowed me to keep him around a whole season then I could see value in that and would spend 300-600 extra flex on my players.
