GG Los Alamos. Gave us fits. We were lucky to overcome two turnovers and a few mistakes I made on D play calling and Leading tactics.

Great game New Jersey! Guessed wrong on what tactics I should run and as such a close game determined by one play is all it takes.
Watching all those missed tackles on that run was like watching a pro or vet game instead of rookie lol

Doesn't take away from how good of a run it was

GG, I leaned way too hard on my passing game I think for this time of rookie season and quality opponent. See you down the road.

4-1 on my picks. A little surprised at the score to the river city vs Insane Asylum game.
7-2-1 overall in my picks

We better learn how tactics and playbooks work soon... Or else we are in for a loooooooooooong season. We have no idea how to stop outside QB runs and are definitely not able to score many points.
Might be time to recruit experienced OC and DC huh?
Anyway, GG Elements. Sorry we did not put up any challenge. We have no idea how to game plan at the moment...

Go watch so teams that run a lot like new jersey vs Cleveland in today's ladder matchup. See what plays they ran against each and that'll start to give you some ideas. Both teams run a lot and both defenses held up well

GG Dream Team. Those early turnovers put me in a hole and it just kept getting deeper.

Read Rob.'s guide on how to be a DC.
Rookie is where outside QB runs are really prevalent. Once you hit Soph, they fade from most teams playbook (unless they are specifically built for QB runs).

Top 5 matchups April 1
Dream team vs new jersey devils
The dream team have dominated pretty much everyone they have faxed this year. They are hard to prepare for because they run and pass the ball very well. The defense isn't to bad either! The devils bring in one of the top rushing attacks in the tier and will need to get it back in track this week. I think this will be closer game but I think the dream team will stay undefeated for another week.
Elements vs Seminoles
I'm looking forward to seeing this game. Both teams play similar styles on offense. They both lean on the run game but will throw it occasionally to keep people honest. Defensive stats are quite similar to. The biggest difference is points given up but the Seminoles didngive up 31 of tgier 38 total in one game. If they get there defense back on track I wouldn't be surprised to see them win. I will however take the elements for at least 1 more week.
Nw scrubs vs insane asylum
I thought about taking the upset here but the scrubs having been playing well thus far especially on offense. The asylum have been held in check in 3 of their 5 games while in the other 2 they scored in bunches however one of those games was vs an inactive CPU team. If they show up on offense this could be a shootout that they could sneak out but I think the scrubs will be able to out score them.
Lab rats vs suicide squad
This should be a good one. Suicide squad has a balanced offense when has moved the ball pretty well but has had trouble scoring which could hurt them in this one. Outside of one game the defense has played very well. The lab rats outside of one game have scored pretty well and outside of their lone loss have played great defense. This should be an interesting one that could go either way but I can't pick against myself.
Npw vs bsb
There is a couple of games I could highlight but this one just edges those ones out. Bsb has been chugging along and playing pretty solid. They've only allowed 13 points thus far in league games. They had the 1 bad ladder loss but bounced back with a nice league win. Outside of the loss to Bob, npw has played quite well. I don't think Bsb will be able to score enough to beat npw.
