Still want changes to make watching Pickup games more palatable. They add the feature, how do they not even update the pre-existent Pickup format to better make use of the feature.

seriously, why the fuck do wide open WR always drop the ball? That should be a catch more than a drop. Why are uncontested catch rolls so bogus? Why build WRs that rely on getting separation if separation has no impact on the damn catch.

I think the change to counters is going to have a profound change on the running game this season...already looks much tougher to run

Real question -- how are they doing against under sam mike / 2 man press --- and other 3WR pass Ds? I haven't seen.

I think the counter reaction change is a step in the right direction. Instead of a constant nerf/buff of passing and running plays that may or may not be OP, fixing some of the D play issues that lead to those plays working too well is a better way to go.

Now maybe something along these lines for coverage, and also not having blockers be magnets* for D players would be some things I'd like to see.


*(blockers like 2 yards away and not really in the line they need to run but instead of continuing by them they seem drawn into the block. Same on punt coverage instead of downing the ball they turn and engage a blocker there was no need to.)

Yes - would be interesting if that same logic (more likely to sniff it out the more it is run) could be crossed over to give deflection & cover tech bonuses when the same pass play is run (Big I TE Crosses or whatever).

Then it could be you'd be on the way to creating an environment where varied offenses can branch out and run more plays when combined with the play diversity bonus

btw I think there are bigger fish to fry, I don't remember seeing threads complaining about this? Why not address the issues people care about?
