how did Richmond get hammered by DA so badly in the first game? I'm too lazy to pull up the replay

We are similar to DA and Richmond always gives us fits

DA always has our number - last season's match-up was a similar result as well.

pass tech/acc for candice are both 90+

if I'm playing GLB2 long enough to make another S* QB, my next QB will finish with 100 acc/tech

Well, then maybe it's not skill driven at all, but rather play calling.

I'm just comparing to our non S* QB on Whoville who has thrown 1 pick max in a game this season and I can't see anything in the skill values.

However, on Whoville we have a legit rushing threat, so good defenses can't sell out against the pass, and maybe we aren't calling as risky pass plays as you are for Madison.

You don't seem to need that much pass con to not throw terrible balls that get picked off constantly, and it can't be accuracy if it is so high on Candice which I would think would be the other logical issue.

Excited about playing MEM. My S* Center is on their team, so should be fun to watch him play.

interesting perspective that nooone has mentioned yet...

maybe specific plays are more INT-prone... is there any way to do a breakdown on glbscout tool showing what plays cause more INTs than others? If anything, I would say we are pretty conservative with our passing play-calls... we preferred in years past to focus on our TEs, but this year we are weaker there, so have had to target WRs more. I'd say DA tends to throw the deep ball a bit more than us (riskier for INT?)

Why would you say that? 22 is pretty darn low. Maybe he is getting pressured due to not being able to recognize blitzes and forced to throw bad balls under pressure? How many INTs came from being pressured?

please comment on a vet thread once you get to vet and have a clue what you're talking about. Your entusiasm for the game is amusing, but you just come across as a total moron most of the time.

pocket awareness has nothing to do with that.... if anything, he'll move around in the pocket less to avoid blitzes (ignoring them), and throw on the run less (throwing on the run lowers accuracy)... consistency is the trait that affects throws under pressure. Pocket awareness helps his throw on the run, but there are some guys that don't hit throw on the run as an SA anyway with high pocket aware. If anything, I should have gone higher on consistency (maybe to 80ish) and just flat-out ignored pocket aware.

yeah i try to stay out of discussions regarding builds to avoid giving away trade secrets but pocket awa is huge for QB imo, will force QBs to throw on the move without things like on the run and have much lower accuracy. I bet most of madisons INTs come in games when they are being pressured/blitzed so IMO that solves diddy's puzzle

edit: just saw diddy's response. lol, i guess to each his own but i completely disagree with your theory on low pocket awa making your QB move less in the pocket. The QB is still going to move away from the blitzer, he is just going to make a more inaccurate throw

nope... there are downfalls to the trait most people overlook. High pocket aware causes your QB to move around in the pocket more, and have more throws while moving, lowering his accuracy. If you want a true "pocket" QB, pocket awareness is irrelevant, as long as your consistency is high (dealing with pressure). If Candice has a weakness causing INTs, it's consistency.... 80ish I think would really lower her INTs. Saul has less per attmept due to higher accuracy, which is 99 or 100 I think... because of Candices slow build, I couldn't get acc up high enough.

If pocket awareness is "huge", Candice should be a HORRIBLE vet QB with only 22.

Maybe I'll just suck it up and pay for a respec for Candice this offseason

you're proving my point for me... if he's going to move anyway, you're wasting a giant amount of SP and AP into accuracy on the run.

If your quick read AP and pass awareness is high enough, the above is pointless. Throws on the run aren't a seperate skill, but a hit on your accuracy skill. Once your pass accuracy gets to 90ish (which you want on a good QB as it is), you don't throw ton of inaccurate passes on the run anyway.

If you compare side by side how Candice handles pressure and throw acc in that situation vs the other top QBs, if there is ANY difference, it is extremely slim...

Clearly pocket awareness can't be THAT important if Candice has the 2nd highest passer rating in Vet with only 22 pocket awareness.

Hey Sov, if Candice can't handle the blitz due to low pokcet awareness... why did DA blitz us in our first matchup (and lost pretty badly, as Candice had a solid game, 0 INTs), then switched to never blitzing in our 2nd game, and DA won easily, shutting down the pass much better, with 3 INTs)?

hmmm? wouldn't you WANT to blitz if her low pocket awareness is a detriment?

It may not be "huge" but any movement at all by the QB in the pocket whether he is side stepping 6 inches or moving to avoid a blitzer is considered "On the Run" in GLB2 and lowers accuracy. At a minimum you would want it high enough to force OTR to fire more often.

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/200216/2020052?player_id=62757 - QB barely moves, OTR fires
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/200216/2018525?player_id=62757

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/210775/2105723?player_id=62757

In all the examples the QB is moving in the pocket lowering his accuracy.

Going over Madison's last 10 opponents (that weren't gutjobs or whatever), Candice's stats are:

Completion % - 55
Attempts - 705
Completions - 388
Sacks - 8
Interceptions - 13
Knocked Loose - 28
Pass Deflects - 98
Drops - 36
Unable Secure - 107

So from this, we can tell that Candice threw 27 passes that weren't close enough for the WR/TE to make a catch attempt, as well as defenders not able to deflect it. It's possible some of the Int's could increase that number more, but for now we'll assume it's just 27.

That's 3.9% of his throws that were clearly inaccurate.
DA's QB was 2.3%
Logzilla's QB was 2.1%
Mercy Flush's QB was 1.9%
