I should have probably ran what I did earlier this season against other run-heavy teams... GA just wore us down. All game it seemed like we would hold them to a 3rd and medium, only for them to toss weakside and get the first down. I would guess that happened close to 10 times.

Hard to score points when you only have the ball 14:00 and have two turnovers. offensively, I shouldn't have run our standard O... they matched up well in a scrim a season and a half ago with their 5 man front against our 3 WR sets. There are some formations they are weaker against, like FSM, that I should have exploited well more than I did. Latimer (caught 4 of 12) and Javier (caught 1 of 12) have been absolute jokes recently... Prime Time Jodelski (10 of 19) has become hands-down our best WR the 2nd half of the season.

like Gal said, we don't usually struggle this much to score points... last time held under 10 points was 11 months ago another team that I will be looking forward to a rematch

Wish I would have put more thought into that wrath game. Didn't expect to score with them.

Actually Madison is the only top 5 team to not get beat easily in a game this season

Until today . . .

Yup, Ground Assault is a royal pain to deal with. It's never an easy time.

I eagerly await the next team that wants to try out a 1 formation defense, and what formation they might pick.

Considering going with a pure 4-4 with Game of Zones.

Woh, if Richmond can beat Logzilla, they've got a sizeable lead over me in ELO.

I'm 23-3 and still ranked behind Richmond who hasn't even played yet today 22-3.

The problem with the 4-4, and pretty much any other formation, is that it is enormously expensive from both a SP and a salary cap perspective. The genius that is GA is that a 5 man front emphasizes DT's which are cheap to build and cheap to employ, and de-emphasizes LB's which are expensice to build and expensive to maintain.

It is that design that has allowed us to have Superstar's at the front end and back end of the defense.

Logzilla pulled it out. You are now #2.

So can it be said that we have a "solid #2" now?

I assure you FSM is not a solid #2...

...I blame Chipotle.

Madison and GA still in the running for #1 end of season but will need some serious help come playoff time

DA will most likely cruise through their playoffs, as they are in the easiest league... so looks like we'll just have to beat them in ladder

FSM might be able to pile up some pretty nice elo if they can win the Diamond Championship with 2 wins over Winnipeg and Ground Assault.

For a superstar heavy team you can't really beat the 5-2 in terms of cost effectiveness. For non-superstar heavy teams it is more about depth and specialized players. The roster limit is the bigger issue. Focusing on 4-4 I can cut the strong safeties and cut a CB and then have highly specialized LB's and defensive linemen. Cost isn't as big of an issue.

GG Richmond.

Your come from behind Offensive settings/playbook was excellent. Really made a game out of it.

Should get a Logzilla vs GA ladder matchup here near the end. Pretty sure that's all we've got left in the current top 10.
