Almost same with us, but we can't seem to get this zone D down. First time trying zone D.. I know I'm not a big fan of zone D against passing, but like it against running. This has been a roller coaster season for the Storms soph team. As for my journeyman team, we're stuck with the Bronx Bombers domination and I can't figure out how to score offensively against them. Their D smothers us no matter what offensive plays I call.

That's the only thing we can stop consistently, so No.

Except it does, at least certain zone plays get better against certain passing plays as the zone defenders start getting Gold SA's and physicals. Others such as 2WR FL Hitch just feast on Cover 2's.

Before GE reset his team, every now and then he'd match up with a passing offense that couldn't do a thing against his Cover 2. The main problem with his zone D was that he never did anything but Cover 2, so certain plays with routes that were designed to beat Cover 2, would wreck him.

A lot of the zone plays in the playbook, just suck against the pass. Some have a DE dropping back into a middle zone and a safety blitzing...what good is the DE going to do if the ball is thrown into his zone? That sort of play works alright with actual football players, but not with GLB players that have zero SP invested in coverage skills/SA's.

We need to be placed in a division against all running teams!

Actually, it does. My best zone against the pass was when I was at Joueneyman. If you build the defenders right, they will have the quickness/footwork and coverage ability to get a bunch of PDs and knock loose. And cover the WRs long enough for sacks.

I have since added 3-2-6 dime Cover 4

Add some speed to your linebackers, and some Zone Shark, and that could be nasty.

They won't end with a ton of speed (55) but they will have very high footwork and quickness. Oh...and gold Zone Shark.

55 sprinting isn't enough no matter what kind of defense you're running.

It will be 70 when EOTP fires most plays.

For Zone Shark to really be useful on those linebackers they have to get to the ballcarrier before the other defenders do. Can EOTP fire at the same time as Zone Shark?

70 is the low end for what LB/DB speed should be, end game

Not zone. Sprint is not as important as footwork or quickness.
