There has never been a reason to not reset the ladder rankings between seasons, it'd be like telling NCAA teams that you have no chance of winning a national championship even if you go undefeated because because these other teams have been better for a couple more years than you. Basically yeah you can win a SEC/BigTen etc championship but have no chance at the whole enchilada for a couple seasons playing that way. Ladder Trophies are given out EACH season, if you aren't one of the 5 best teams THAT season, you shouldn't be getting a trophy. Not sure why ANYBODY would be opposed to this change at all.

Current Vet teams are at a bit of a disadvantage with the ladder reset due to more roster changes than incoming pros. As tezed said there is no buffer now. It takes over half a season for them get to full strength where pro teams come in relatively intact. I don't really see a reason for Vet teams to get an off-season chemistry penalty, at least such a big one. I imagine a lot more Vet teams will reset quicker which is bad for the game.

Why just limit this to Vet, they should do away with the chem hit. If you sign players in the offseason they should be 100% chem, I can see starting lower than that if you join during a season due to people wanting to bring in ringers for the playoffs and what not, but other than that chem shouldn't hamper teams the way it does. Make off season chem 100% and this problem is solved as well, and it not being 100% is stupid in the first place since people go inactive and stuff every season and not just at vet, SoA is a good example of that this past season. Just because it effects Vet more than the other tiers doesn't mean that it's not what is best for the game either, as long as they are making positive changes, instead of just nerf'ing this or that I'm all for it.

I just don't like to see guys cut at will. Newer guys have a better chance at playing at higher tiers if there is incentive not to replace them for more experienced builders. I don't think I had to replace more than 3 players any given season rookie-pro so it wasn't a huge deal, but it would be nice to replace guys that suddenly disappear without such a big penalty.
