Regarding the I-pitch weak being called so much: it was tied with 3 other runs as being the highest priority outside run so I am not surprised that it was called so much, it is a bit "rng-ish" that it was called almost twice as much as any of those other runs though. Ultimately I think I still lose if it was only called an equal amount as the other plays.
Regarding the play calling overall: this is my first time running an all run team or a team that uses QB runs at all so I am still feeling out how to gameplans from one to game to another. Anyone else with Stobie's scout tool can see that if you scout No Name, they haven't played many all run teams all season (just mine, Seneca, and arguably the Trenton Devils). So, going into this thing I had very little to work off regarding what to expect. I could either form a plan around what little I could see or just make a somewhat random plan I the hopes that he couldn't stop everything. I went with planning off information I could see, that info was that he went heavy with 5-2 zone blitz roll to stop inside and strongside runs. I-pitch weak works nicely against that play, however he changed up and went with different defenses that totally crushed the weak runs. Live and learn.
Makes a lot of sense. Thank you for your time Dan, and good luck the rest of the season.
