i agree CE is challenged in its usefullness. What if it fired as soon as you "read" outside run..whether you are engaged in a block or not. Then add a bonus to pursuit and speed for a couple seconds.

Seems like an op closing speed.

I just want it to work the way we all think it should work.

On an Outside Run play when the HB gets "outside" (I guess this is the hash marks), it fires BEFORE Shed Block so the +15 BRB Bonus can help Shed Block fire.

I'd like it better if the Defensive Player was "Outside" the hash marks and it fired BEFORE Shed Block on Outside Run plays. So it's triggered by the pre-snap play call (God-like intelligence) but only works when the Defensive Player is Outside the hash marks and lasts the whole play. That way it's really for CBs and not DEs.

An additional feature could be that it fires when the CB Blitzes (or has a chance to based on Blitz Awareness of the CB).

I can build CBs that have 68 BRB.
But even with the Run Blocking SP changes, I can still build WRs with 72 Run Tech Blocking. (Pre-Caps).

Isn't this disadvantage the whole point of CE being added as an SA?

Shouldn't a Gold SA give you an advantage if the other player doesn't have a Gold SA as a counter?

They're pretty awful. I used to run them on RIF. If you could flip plays there would be some that would be good.

One problem I see is CBs without blitz awareness and they run right past the HB

Yeah, I'm trying to overcome that with the "Tactician" trait on CBs, but I'd prefer a real Run Blitz Trait to take on LBs and CBs.

The LB Blitzer trait is for Pass Rush.

A Run Stuffing CB Trait (like Middle Man for LBs) would be nice. Something that ups Power Tackling, Blitz Awareness and Tackle Grip.

No...there is other stuff like footwork to overcome this as well. A CB will have about 3 times as much footwork as a WR I guess. And a WR doesnt have a single blocking SA. Dont quite get what you want here tho

Footwork doesn't help the CB break the block until after the CB-HB angle has changed so the CB can disengage the block. By that time, the CB is out of position.

The real preference is to increase the Skill Caps of CBs in BRB to 72 like the WR. But we don't have that and we do have the SA.

You can build a CB with 95+ BRB using Slow Built. You can build a CB with 100 BRB using Superstar and Slow Built.

Pre Cap's that is 80 BRB fyi.

Actually I take that back. Got 83 and a better build out of it.

Without using the slow built trait at all you can build a WR with 76+ (Maybe higher but I am done fucking around) RBT pre caps. A CB with 73 BRB Pre caps. Pretty close.
