Smash: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/50792 (thanks Tezed)

Over entire career (he was very fumble prone in the middle of his career):
3349 carries
71 fumbles
2.1%

Over the last two seasons of his career with gold Mr. R and silver B4I:
1282 carries
13 fumbles
1.01%

Of course any comparison of fumble rates needs to take into consideration how much more fumble prone a power back is than an elusive one.

exactly...you cannot compare the fumble stats of an elusive back with a power back, nor a balanced back with a pure power back

You know one thing I find interesting about Brace 4 Impact?

You get carrying grip and toughness at increasing values as you go from Bronze to Gold. At Gold, the morale and energy losses are reduced by 100% while the skill is active, but you also get +20 toughness.

I get the toughness at bronze and silver. The morale losses aren't reduced entirely. But at gold, isn't the toughness completely useless if you're morale/energy damage immune already? That, or it means toughness does play into other aspects of the sim than just morale/energy damage resistance.

Toughness plays into how you take a hit so it isn't all that surprising that a Brace 4 Impact skill offers +20 to such a skill.

I've wondered the same thing, what does the +20 toughness give you at gold if you are already getting morale and energy losses reduced by 100%?

You take on the tackle better as you are much less intimidated by it.

what does that mean though other than "you take less morale/energy damage"?

Do you think there's some anti-fumble/break tackle component to it as well?

Certainly Anti Fumble to it. The break tackle element probably less so due to the slow down that occurs at the same time.

So you think it's a direct tie into the dice rolls for stuff like fumbling?

I'm inclined to think it only indirectly impacts that stuff through it's morale/energy preservation function. Which makes me think it's kinda redundant to have +20 toughness added onto Gold Brace 4 Impact.

Oh I think it absolutely ties in to the dice rolls. I think it would be silly to believe it doesn't.

Really? Cause the tooltip doesn't say anything that would indicate it does. I'd think it'd be silly to assume it does.

At least, not other than morale/energy playing a role in your "effective" skill, so toughness being nice to keep those bars generally higher.

The tool tips are purposefully vague. Come on you know better than that.
