Can the GLB1 code be used?

If there was a semi simple interface where you could choose:

- 4 team round robin
- 8 team single elim
- 16 team single elim
- etc

if it didn't take that long -- I think it would be really fun.

If it takes a long time -- and means we get no new plays and no new tweaks this offseason -- then I'm sure we would all pass.

I'd love to hear: How much time is Corndog really being instructed to spend on GLB2 these days? 10% of his time? 5%?

The new plays were very cool last offseason. How long did that take? Weeks? Days? Hours?

The only way I would really care is if they were smaller tournaments like that. Tournaments where hey I am bored, it is the off day, and a couple of us are just sitting around looking for a fun set of games. I don't want it to last several off days because my attention will fall to a minimum and eventually I won't care at all.

Why do you hate tournaments?

explain "we've"

long tournaments have been tried many, many times in GLB1 and a few times in GLB2.

Almost every time that I'm aware of - people eventually lose interest - and no one runs their games -- and the tournament is abandoned.

do me a favor and change your sig to : I lose to CPU teams so then at least new people will have a chance to know you are clueless

I don't hate tournaments. I just don't really feel like they are a priority since they are mostly just a fun add on for off day entertainment. They hold no real value beyond that. Especially if they are season long.

I mean if they are coded and ready to go, let them drop. But like Steve said, if getting them means things like advancements in the sim and/or new plays aren't being coded, no thanks.

Steve..
The tourny would not "be abandoned" because the agents would not run the tourny. It would be auto created by the game. Of course people lose interest if they have to setup and schedule their own games.

Just put them in. If they lose, they are out. No big deal. But I'm sure alot of teams would want to win.

The one positive would be watching GE lose to the inactive/CPU/auto-fill teams. I guess there is a bright side.
