MEM stays strong and holds onto #2 spot with a 21-11 victory over free falling WH. WH scored first but couldn't keep the pressure on as MEM toted the rock at over 5 per clip.
#3 SoA dominates top 10 hopefully Southside Rebels who were #12 heading into the game by a score of 56-28. Southside scored first and even went into halftime tied at 21. However SoA having been awakened by David acted like the top 5 they are from there on scoring 35 points to the Rebels 7 closing any chances of us talking about a biblical upset.
Seattle Supersonics do it again. Reminding me of the days of Kemp and Peyton. However as dominant as they were in the regular season....the playoffs were haunting. Still too early to place a stigma on Seattle about the playoffs but their regular season dominance continues not letting 13th to score until the 4th quarter in clean up time.
90's Hornets prove themselves in a dominant performance. They Chanel their inner Zo and feed it down the middle to the big man OJ. OJ in turn makes Hub City pay going for 158 yards and 2 TD on 15 receptions. OJ is back and he plays TE for the Hornets!!
Originally posted by jfbueno Surprised by the final score but after watching the game hub city didn't do themselves any favors with that offensive game plan
Good game from the hornets nonetheless but I'd like to see them try that versus Seattle or MEM.
Factory sheds many tears as the Nebraska Cornhuskers show them what's what. Going into half time both teams were tied at 21, only to allow 3 points combined all second half. Those 3 points being the 1 for 4 outing of Kris Brown. No wonder he couldn't hit the right spot, it wasn't a woman.....
Looked like Dead World would be on easy street heading into half time with a 20-6 lead. However during half time Dead World made jokes about the Java and how it doesn't compare to Starbucks. Apparently a passerby at River Styx stadium heard this and passed it along to the JSCS team during halftime. Boy brings new meaning to rabid squirrels...
JSCS came out the second half a team possessed...scoring 28 points and holding Dead World to 16. However every good teams knows sometimes...just sometimes its better to be lucky then good. And Dead World had it this time. JSCS scored with :53 remaining in the game to take the lead. Their offense feeling good and defense fired up. I mean :53 seconds and to that point had held Dead World to only 10 points in the second half. But as every coach knows, you don't let MVP Candidates loaded with a full clip enough time to unload...here is the final moments ...
Own 39 passed KL, 2nd and 10 Own 39 pass fell incomplete, 3rd and 10 Own 39 SACK!! 3 yard loss!! Its 4th and 13 JSCS are feeling Great!! Timeout Own 35 Slot Receiver **Tommy McDonald** hauls in a 17 yard reception - First Down! Move the Chains! Timeout OPP 48 Alex drops back and sees Cerberus Dirty and slings the pass...16 yard gain another first down!!! Timeout OPP 32 Alex checks down to the HB who drops the ball for the 5th time of the game....11 seconds remain OPP 32 Alex drops back, everyone is covered. Then he sees it... TE Reggie "Butter" Cunningham splits the defenders crossing them up at the 15...Alex puts one on the outside corner just over the should so the 2 speeding defenders have no chance.... TOUCHDOWN!!! :03 seconds left on the clock. DWC goes for 2 because they are arrogant jerks like that and the game is over....
