What's wrong with First Step? Or Closing Speed if you want a player that runs all over to make plays? A lot of issues with rookie is a lack of mobility, which both of those SA's can help with.

Bronze first step with low quickness fires like once per game. If it were 50% closing speed would look a lot better though to help shut down outside runs. Then respec into silver showboat after rookie.

nothing is wrong with first step
All I am saying is : how come showboat has 100% firing rate at bronze, does not require any ability to power it, and still has the single strongest morale impact as a direct result, when there is too many sacks in Rookie?
Bronze 1st step has 15% firing chance when the player is not moving That's once a play or twice if lucky for it to have the activation condition. I have it on my rookie DT with 35 Quickness and it fires like once 20 snaps. Effective for a pass rusher? Heck no.

If fires alot...like MR. Reliable. When gold, your player gets a +7 to quickness and speed as well as +15 to INT, most times the ball is coming his way.

It doesn't work well as in it doesn't fire often? I thought it had multiple times to fire, like Mr. R? Did you gold it?

Obviously it working well in this one game is no indication of it working well across the board, plus you have to take into account that DC is a 100% zone based team.
Sweet!

It's not that it doesn't fire. It's that it doesn't do all that much when it does fire. And if you're investing in Interception to any degree on a secondary player that isn't a superstar, you're probably losing points you really, really need in physicals, mentals, run defense, or general coverage skills.
Eyes on the Prize doesn't fix the #1 issue with zone defenses. The defenders don't stick to a WR, so you give up a whoooole bunch of open space catches where a CiT roll just isn't needed.

Obviously my running game was unstoppable and Mr. Reliable should have been nerfed.

Yeah. I'm going to take First Step, Tunnel Vision, Monster Hit, or Closing Speed.

Yeah, but bronze first step isn't a waste because it leads to gold first step later. Bronze showboat is pretty much a waste in the later seasons because you aren't going to activate it all that often.
If you don't want to waste the flex on a respec, you take bronze first step even so.

I'm going to be the first one to say this in GLB2:
No one cares about the rookie sim enough to nerf something that works for one or two seasons and then stops working.

In the later levels you see a lot more of those underneath zone defenders jumping to make the INT/deflection attempt even when they are no where near the receiver. Unfortunately, that only works when the ball is thrown over the top or to the outside. Any cuts over the middle in zone D are uncoverable.

Then why are you opposing to what I have been saying all along? I never said three star showboat should be nerfed.

I disagree about showboat being useless at higher levels. A single sack or TFL by a guy with gold showboat can have a huge effect on the game. First step is obviously very good as well for a blitzing LB, but it takes 2-3 seasons to get their quickness up high enough for it to really be worth it. I guess it all depends though. My blitzing LB is a superstar so he is able to have much higher physicals and get to the QB a lot faster without necessarily needing first step (I am still getting it as his 2nd SA). When it comes to non-S* then maybe showboat is more of a waste because you need your SAs to be decreasing how long it takes for him to get to the QB.
