My experience is that kicking is just bad in general in this game. 47 accuracy, 20 power, 26 consistency... pretty much 100% of the SPs and can't kick from under 30 yards.

I agree 100%. Kicking needs a overhaul, sad really.

The way I see it is if I miss at the 25 yard marker, I give up the ball on the 25. It isn't like the NFL where you turn over the missed kick at the spot of the kick.

If I were to punt from the 25 yard marker, in all likelihood it lands for a TB b/c of the way my punter is built (all power). I'd rather take the % risk of gaining 3 points versus the % risk of pinning them to the 1-10 yard line. If I miss at the 25 yard marker, I still have good defensive positioning.

Who knows, I might be singing a different tune in a few seasons when I have a more balanced punter.

I skimmed through your game, rough TT. When you play a running team at this stage even if you have the perfect D setup, it will usually go the running team's way if their offensive builds have some blocking ability to them.

GG TT. It was close in the first half. I didn't expect to put up that many points though.

Yeah outside rushing at this point is a difficult task to stop, unless your made exactly for that (Break Run Block, Pursuit, Speed, etc) which then leaves you vulnerable to more of a passing attack which is far more common... Pick your poison really.

I also agree kicking needs a lot of help. My kickers aren't really long range snipers, but I'd like at least 50-60% accuracy...
Right now I'm seeing way to many 1 of 4 and 0 of 3 FG type performances. I even tried an experiment to see if balance and or footwork helped (makes sense logically...) and due to putting points into physical skills got even worse lol.

Oh yeah, we got crushed today.

Even when the other team gets no pressure, we just miss the ball.

I've always sucked at dealing with outside rushing in this sim... not sure if I'm just not built to deal with it or if I just call the wrong plays.

A little bit of both. There are certain plays you can call that allow you to completely sell out to stop the outside runs but will leave you vulnerable against inside runs. We faced Wesley earlier this season and just spammed outside run stopping plays to counter their outside run spam. Almost shut them out, but they got a late TD.

I shoulda challenged you more between the tackles!

You taught me a lot in that game....but the TD was pretty sweet!

My SS/FS and a couple of LBs have really strong sprinting/pursuit skills in order to try and get to the outside, but if the CBs allow the WR blockers to get so far up field, there isn't much point when the FS/SS only gets to the outside after the first down.

There were a few times that I was almost fast enough to break up the play in the backfield before the handoff or before they left the pocket... those worked earlier in the year, might need to come out later in the year.
