Kidding of course but I've felt great thus far about qb's adding pass power and just seen a great throw from my rookie qb today that led the wr.

Nope, but he's been adding it to great effect all season. I'm certain he's not the highest on passing power. He's also not the highest on pass accuracy or pass technique either though, and lots of folks espouse the importance of those two skills. It's been preached that it's better to add 2 more points to pass accuracy than to add 25 points to dropback grip in a certain other thread. I tend to disagree.

Will also need extremely high balance. Didn't think about that before. Grip and Power above 50 are nothing without balance.

Question now remains is what SA's fire to break a sack?

I created a QB just for fun and gave him like 75 drop back power and ran some scrimmages to see if he would break out of any sacks, but no such luck. His balance was only 30-35 though. I'll try it again with more balance but I'm skeptical. Does anyone have a link to a play where a QB breaks out of a sack?

Not yet. My first play of the pickup game the qb stood on his feet for longer though so it is getting there. Just need the balance I think. Maybe footwork too.

If it's working like Power Rushing, where it induces the drag effect, it's worthless IMO. I'd say getting gang tackled during a pass attempt is a guarantee. It rarely takes very long for the next sacker to arrive after the first. It'd have to be more like the sudden broken tackles made by elusive backs to be useful IMO.

Unless the QB can still throw while dragging, then maybe it's useful.

You are talking just basically staying in the pocket. But if I can get it to where he shrugs off an olb and takes off running that could make a dual threat qb interesting.

Hell, if Dropback Power induces the drag effect, you bet your ass you better have a ton of dropback grip to go with it just to avoid the strip fumbles.

Maybe. Would be good for the game if scrambling can be made to work while also having enough skill to complete a decent % of passes.

It seems it's a little faulty. May be just how the game works but drop back power is nothing worth from what I've seen. A little bird across the street said that drop back grip is very useful. Especially if you have brace 4 impact SA for your qb

I'd only take Brace on a rusher, and dropback grip would be useless on a rushing QB. He'd be using Carrying Grip the whole way.

Brace on a pocket passer means you're not taking one of the considerably more useful Passing SAs like Quick Read, On The Run, Pump Fake, etc.

I'd do Tuck and Run on a Dual Threat QB attempt before I'd do Brace.

It served my qb we'll. I don't have too much in drop back grip but I have seen brace 4 hit fire a decent amount of times when I get sacked.

I have quick read. Quick read is a must but when the qb has a less chance of fumbling it helps
