To each they are entitled but I will say this. Most new teams thought the same when they came in.

Here is how each division stacks with rankings

Alpha (5,21,28,55)
Beta (14,18,22,27)
Gamma (15,34,57,100)

Now Gamma has 2 new teams which are ranked 15 and 57 and the 100 ranked team was a CPU team most of last season that was acquired and turned around so they won't be a cake walk this season.

Also something of note, no team has ever gone undefeated in Osprey. The best overall regular season record ever was 13-1 by Alpine followed by 12-2 by Detroit Forclosures both had losses in the playoffs.

Tampa has had a dead lock in the championship, they have played 3 of the beta teams and 1 old retired gamma team in the playoffs and won all 4.

the last 2 seasons hasnt osprey had the best overall ladder rankings when combined? i dont know how other veteran osprey teams are, but i know when i ran detroit that i focused more on league games then ladder games...i never cared about ladder games and used them to experiment. either way, osprey is a tough league, but for the most part its a good group of people who are fairly active and welcome to the new teams, hope you find your stay as welcoming as the new teams from last year did.

Yes, I see it a matter of opinion because it's based on what a person's criteria of what is defined as "tough". Is it inner league play or is it ladder play? Is it based on overall ladder rank or based on how difficult it is to win in league versus out of league? There are a lot of variables and perspectives when it comes to comparing one league versus the next.


I would say that this league is VERY competitive based on the teams that are in the league, but some that are basing their opinions on overall rank might say differently seeing they their is only one team in the top 10 and ZERO ladder overall champions. Taking into account like the Cheetah league or Eagle with numerous teams in top 10 they could argue they have the toughest leagues as well.

I do agree 100% the opinion is subjective but really the argument of overall ladder winners is not really a strong argument considering DD is quite the dominant force

Either way, best of luck this season and just glad we got 2 new teams that are at least active! I know when we got the CPU team we pulled together to get someone to take that team over and fill it up as we didn't want any scrub wins in this league!

Ohh another thing for the new teams, this league is VERY SEC like in CFB. Kick each others tail and well screw the rest of the leagues!

it is true, we have never had an overall ladder winner, but given how much we beat each other up in the league games..i dont think we will ever have a ladder winner...the teams are to good across the board that there are no gimmie games..minus a few teams we have had in gamma. me personally, and this is just my opinion, i feel that in this league, just making the playoffs would rate higher in my book then making the top 10 in ladder play and winning a division even more so. winning an osprey championship would rate higher in my book then winning the ladder. like i said, just my opinion but from what i have heard there arent to many leagues out there like osprey.

glad to see new faces in the forums and best of luck....just not to much luck.

Point taken makes sense on overall ladder winner

B-Squad had a down season and still managed to beat Tampa - anyone can beat anyone and that's what makes the league so fun. It's time someone wrestled the crown from them...

Very tough league, we beat each other up a ton. I think because how difficult it is, we tend to throw our gameplans into a loop a bit just to succeed in league, and ladder suffers.
