It appears that the WRs will actually just get behind the CBs AND then try to initiate. Probably penalizes faster WRs.

This what you're talking romo?

(on further review - I do think my TE at WR is performing quite a lot worse in terms of initiating and holding blocks than he was yesterday -- that seems like a fair change though)

TDiddy and Harrisonburg are gonna love the blocking nerf.

Lost Lounge just crushed using a hyperagressive defense that produced 11 sacks which is our most of the season. I imagine Harrisonburg which is built to play that way all the time is going to be even more brutal.

Yeah, might be play definition related.

Basically, "run a three yard route, then lead block".

I've been meaning to make WRs break their runoff if the guy covering them stops doing so. Might be a good time to do that.

Allow me to scrimmage you and let's put this to the test. I am intrigued.

You can also fix their retardation when they've got no one in front of them: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/66143/1115982

Uh...look like they do a pretty good job?

Seal the OLB and FS.

Overall this change sucks because it drives us into a direction of speed whore defenses being the way to go...just like GLB1 again.

I thought GLB2's greatest plus was the ability to not have to spike speed or spike an attribute because it was a must-have. There was much more parity across attributes.

Running ~6 yards before even starting to look to engage anyone is the retardation.

But I mean, seriously, complaining about the WRs instead of the LOT on that play?

Watch the Lolb here - he is running out to the weak side before the pitch even occurs (running with the HB is his responsibility?)

Yep, that looks very good, and it what the LB should be doing for sure. M2M defenders assigned targets behind the LOS behave much more realistically now IMO. Did the coverage pathing get the same sort of "evasive" pathing given to pass rushers using evasive tactics too? Seems like more LBs are willing to "loop around" a blocking engagement to avoid getting hung up.
