That's right ladies and gentlemen. Your season 3 sophomore HOF MVP, passing QB extraordinaire, Cleveland Brown, executing a QB rollout like a pro

We should do that NFL style where a LB pissed off about Cleveland's new 50 million dollar contract while said LB is at league minimum pursues down the line and plants Cleveland six feet under the turf leading to Air Raid's franchise QB spending the rest of the season in traction.

Cuz I'd be totally down with one less S* passing QB to try and gameplan a defense against...

The cheese is in full effect across all rookie leagues. It's amazing how many teams don't even adjust their playbook to stop it. It creates a lot of lopsided scores and stats. I don't really blame anyone though. With the difficulty of completing passes this early, fumbled snaps and missed field goals, might as well go for homeruns.

Bhall knew nothing of the scrim, it was just something I was testing after being frustrated trying to defend the pass.

Cheese Report Post Week 3 (though the stat numbers are for 5 games which also includes the 2 ladder games) (Rookie)

Can we determine the cheesiest teams simply by looking at which squads have QB's at the top of the league rushing leaders page? Let's find out:

Argon:
#1 rusher: QB 1, QB - Bucharest Black Plagues - 5 games in he has 104 rushes for 1306 yards (12.6 ypc) and 20 TD's

#2 rusher: Hang'em High - QB - Rockem Sockem Robots - 51 rushes for 547 yards - 6 TDs - looks like they didn't learn about the exploit until game 3..where he explodeed for 345 yards and 4 TDs on 25 rushes.

Helium: Congratulations Helium - you don't have QB's at the top of the rushing charts (they are 5, 6, 8 and 10). Just looking at #5 (or I'll be here all day)
Scooby Doo - El Paso Chihuahuas #5 rusher in Helium - 34 for 638 and 9 TDs

Hydrogen: Top 3 rushers are QBs - that must be a REALLY fun league for new owners!:

Wolves Invented Sex - QB - I've never had sex - 97 rushes for 1616 yards -22 TDs

Tea Baggins - QB - Run GLB - 103 rushes for 1696 yards and 22 TDs

Lefty Baron - QB - boobs - 65 for 630 and 10 TDs (did you give in to the dark side a little late Lefty?)

Iron League:
Alonzo Frey - North Korean Slim Kims - 46 for 524 and 8 TDs

Remy Lebeau - North Korean Slim Kims - 41 for 382 and 4 TDs
Way to represent North Koreans!

Krypton League - Way to go Krypton! Your highest QB rushers is at #9. Maybe you're abusing the snot out of HB Sweeps...but I don't know.

Lithium - top 3 are QBs
Nelson Muntz - Sexy Dance Fighters - 82 for 1202 and 16 Tds

Bob Belcher - Sexy Dance Fighters - 90 for 1101 and 12 Tds

Tifa Lockhart - Midgar Avalanche - 89 for 984 and 17 Tds

Neon - QB is #6 on the list (Pocket Passer - hahaha - 30 for 266 and 7 TDs)

Xenon - QB at #1 and #4
Guardian Rocket Racoon - Synex Ground - 80 for 1074 and 18 TDs

Sexy Can I - Azabache Strikers - 51 for 488 and 8 TDs

There you have it - my week 3 all cheese report from the Rookie Leagues

Jupp, already pointed that out after Game 1 that this league is flooded with RQBs...Also the first 2 you listed are #1 and #2 in HOF. Both SSs as well. Jeesus, that league is cheesy...

And no, Lefty didnt give in too late. He is not a Rusher like the other 2, more a hybrid. I dant want to use the QB rollout too much. Just figured I will have to a bit, to be a threat to the rest. We have 2 great HBs and 5 posession WRs who will bring most of the pain I think.

EDIT: Or I might understood you wrong again^^

thanks for the honesty peeti - much respect.

That's one of the problems with the roll out at rookie levels (imo) - there is really no choice but to join in if you want to keep up with the others.

(no - I believe you understood what I meant)

FYI: I wouldn't recommend building an entire offense to spam a gimmick play.

Why?

I have 3 HB's who have way higher running skill caps who are going to abuse defenses far more effectively than my QB does using pretty much the same play calling I use now.

I'm really not sure why you think a 50+ yard TD run from a QB is cheese while a 50+ yard TD run from a HB is all hunky dory, but if that's what floats your boat, I'll be happy to provide plenty of those HB runs.

On the other hand, if Digidaggers is suggesting that defenses are finally going to quit kittenpiling the middle of the field and actually play outside runs more intelligent using movement behind the line and actually contain logic on the outside, then I think the game would be much better for it even though it almost certainly will cut down on both QB and HB running to daylight around the ends.

Things wouldn't change though without teams building 100% around gimmicky plays to highlight them.

That the thing, tho. I did that last season and lost games because of it.

It was those losses that led to the 2 FB, 3 TE, 2 WR roster that peeti was pokin' fun at so that I could do more than just QB sweeps for homeruns since I'd run into multiple teams that pretty much shut me down.

This season, I'm all in on building a run game nobody can shut down because it isn't a one trick pony anymore, and because I'm not going to let myself get distracted by things like trying to sneak a short passing game in or something. We're going to run. We're going to run inside, off tackle, and outside. I wish everyone else the best of luck in stopping us.

Yep, in favor of the offense. We should be back up to 255-0 games in no time.
