Here is a fun story for you:
Gerr got his team into Gold with me as his offensive coordinator.
Gerr won his first Gold League Championship with me as his offensive coordinator.
Both times Gerr elected to change my GM title to something he felt better fit my job within the team.
I was made the Asst-OC because I manipulated the barely-different from the default OAI he had installed when I arrived instead of starting from scratch.
On the League title I was made a "Scout" because apparently even though I ran the offense for the entire playoffs because I didn't run the offense at all during the regular season I wasn't deserving of any sort of OC title.
Gerr to this day is still using my OAI, even though I'm sure hes worked in parts of other people's offenses into it... He is still 100% preaching the principles that I taught him back in season 12.
Gerr is a "good" coordinator, don't get me wrong... he deserves his spot : losing in the first and second round of the playoffs... but nothing more.
Also, trust me when I say this, if you ever make the mistake of working with him... he will belittle and patronize you (even if you are much better than him, even if he is disagreeing with you and then will eventually go on to profess your ideas as his own) and no matter what you do for him, all in all it will be his "greatness" that enabled it.
1. I got to PWG on my own with the Bears back in S14. No one helped me. I have taken multiple teams from Silver to Gold and never needed help to do so. If I did have an Asst-OC on IA when I took it from Silver to Gold, I don't remember, but they were far from needed for me to do that.
2. LE was the OC on the first team I won PWG with and I freely admit that. He was the ONLY OC I have ever trusted enough to totally run the offense on one of my teams. All others were only Asst-OC's meant to help me with scouting and maybe bring some fresh ideas to my AI's, but on those teams, it was always my AI's.
3. The Asst-OC person who was helping me with IA when I won PWG was Lunch Box and he was only an Asst-OC. His main role was a 2nd set of eyes for scouting and to look over my AI and offer any advice on possible upgrade tweaks. I don't remember if I did take any of his advice, but if I did, it wasn't anything major. I have done this several times in the past, and will do this in S39 using JBStar23 in this same role. Not sure why LB thinks he deserved any larger title.
For the championship game that IA won, we both scouted the other team and came up with a set of plays that we thought would work. When I compared his scouted plays to mine, we had some of the same plays, but also had some different plays. I did use some of his scouted plays, but more of my own and my AI. He also suggested a sizable overhaul on my AI, which I did NOT implement. But for some reason, he thinks he is the main reason I won the championship game. After he started to brag about this, I checked the plays of his that I had used, I believe only one worked decently and the others did crap.
We all remember Lunch Box as an undeserving braggart that no none liked, so if BK is his new ID, expect more of the same. Not saying LB didn't have some PWG skills, but he was never elite like he claimed to be, just an average coordinator at best. The only AI idea I remember using of his was a way to even out AA plays/packages, but stopped using that a few seasons later as I didn't like the results.
4. My offensive AI has been of my own creation since I joined GLB. I have made tweaks to it most seasons, so it is in a constant state of change. However, at it's core, it has been the same offense that I initially created my first couple of seasons in PW(S12-S14), just with a lot of enhancements. BK's claim thatI am using his AI is just laughable. I have always said that my AI is fairly simple. It's power is from my ability to pick the right plays at the right time using the right players and builds. Even my new Asst-OC, JBStar23, was surprised at how simple it was.
So, BK, LB, who ever you are, got any other ignorant and/or false statements you would like to make about me?
