Pretty spot on, it's not much more than a device for measuring ones epeen these days.

He wasn't being sincere, he was just trying to troll me into a response with that. The reality is that LHF studied my build guide to improve his own player values pretty substantially from what they were ~10 seasons ago, and he has, so kudos to him on that.

Right on. It doesn't take into account the number of AEQs or the relative value of a minor ability and a less than stellar major ability. You get more EFL from Confidence if it is a major and you take it high than you would from an important minor skill that you put more SP into.

I was being very sincere. The success of teams/dots with lower EL just proves that I'm correct. And you still keep making the unsubstantiated claim that I used your player guide to build my new dots. This, despite the fact that everyone knows that I use a very different building method to build my dots than the one that you advocate. You're just making yourself look like a fool just like you did after wise beat your ass for the third time in a row. You might claim to be the arbiter of integrity, but you certainly have no credibility.

I'm not sure it's weighted perfectly, but have found it significantly more useful then the "official" GLB player value (funny how often that seems to be the case). Incorporates EQ, SA, AEQ %, and VA (I believe just how many VP the player has assigned) into the value formula.

Here's the OP for the modified player value calculator:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4920149
VAs are counted in the same manner as the current player value formula.

Not to completely jack this thread, but I will anyway.
Can you still update the formula blackrock?
Would like to see VP greatly increased. There should be a significant difference not for what people put their VP in but how many total they have assigned.
Also, how does the current version of the script take into account AEQ %? A dot with 2 22.5% modifiers should have the same bonus as one with 4 different 15%'s imo, but that's not the way it looks like it's calculated.

You will need to see everybody's build to do that, and even if you wanted to base it off of "I can see they have 4 pieces of AEQ", how do you know that the QB you are looking at doesnt have 4 pieces of pancake AEQ?
The point is that your theory is unrealistic.

Yeah, I'm sure it's a total coincidence that your builds used to end up in the 1200s ( http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1998989 ) and now end up 1400+ like my guys always have been.

I have no idea what you are talking about and I'm not sure you do either.
I think the point he is making is that blackrock's script only works if you can see the player's build. Since we can not see everyone's build in WL, you can't use that script to compare all the PVs for all the teams in WL. Thus, we are stuck with GLB's Player Value equation and all its flaws.

Not sure what was so hard to understand here threadkiller.
