lol guys. my situation and snakes' situation are quite different. i have no idea how nobody noticed until mid-season when he started bitching about it but here is the whole story.
Hogwarts finished with the same record as Carthage last season.Hogwarts was 8th, Carthage was 9th, but they were in opposite conferences. Carthage was one of the top 5 teams in the game at the end of the season but missed the playoffs because of horrible chemistry early on.
After the season it was obvious that within the confines of the previous rules, Hogwarts would stay and Carthage would demote. This was bad for the game for two reasons. Hogwarts would be left in WL with either a 2nd season decline team or an entire new roster. They would effectively be a free win each week in the game's premier league. Carthage would be in pro with what now appears to be the most talented team in the game. They would likely have faced almost no competition and would have effectively eliminated an additional team from having a chance to make World League next season.
A quick switch of the two teams would make the competition better in both WL and whatever pro league the other team was in. Support agreed with my arguments and a swap was made. Isn't this game supposed to be about creating the most competitive atmosphere possible? It wasn't a matter of simply 'demoting' Hogwarts, like it was in Snakes' situation. It was a matter of doing what was best for the top of the game as a whole.
Fwiw I have no idea how snakes presented his argument to support. But I do know that support has always been reasonable with me, and part of that is because I present very well thought out solutions for them. I don't just blindly say 'hey do this because that's what I want.' There are several people on that team that are always looking out for the best interest of their players, but that also needs to line up with the best interests of the game as a whole. When you can do that, you have a much better shot at having them work with you.
except by actual rule alpine holds that place and not carthage and that was just a neat loophole of circumventing chemistry loss. i really dont care either way. but at least stop being around the bush.

I like being around the bush. What's wrong with you?
Everyone wants WL to be competitive but at the same time everyone knows that the top 32 teams aren't going to be in WL every season. Every strong franchise takes their snooze(s) in national pro at some point. Some teams make an extra effort to make sure that they don't have bad chemistry to avoid the kind of pitfall that Carthage had in season 36.
WL competition is better with Hogwarts out, but that doesn't mean Carthage was the right team to replace them, and whether they are the best team in the game or the 32nd best or 288th best doesn't change that.

I remember when alpine DIDNT do what was best for the game and they got hammered.....
I really think they should setup a game on day 40 between the two 9th place teams.......let the winner of that game have the first spot and loser take the 2nd spot if there is one.
