THE PITCH IS BACK!!!!!!!!What a crushing game 5. Half my predictions went bad. They were not wrong, just the game did not come out like I thought.
We begin with the losers
.....or should I say, the games that I picked wrong.......
Let's start with Republic of Benin vs Dogs of War...
The tit for tat has got to stop. The game was an offensive romp. Dogs get a TD, Republic gets a FG. Dogs get a fumble recovery, Republic gets an intercept. Republic gets a TD, Dogs get a FG. Just came down to the wire and the SIM let Benin get away with 6 plays in 1 minute. The game was exciting down to the 1 second end. Sorry for the Dogs though. I did say, back in the beginning, that they cannot get a break when they really, really, really need it.
Then on to the Orlando Prime Timers vs Asau.....
What happened here? Did you finally confirm Dildozer's contract with a big bonus? I mean unstoppable!!!! And Pucked up pickles to top it off. Did I say the Pitch is back???? it sure is. Sorry Asau.....
Nothing ever frustrated me more than when the outside pitch came and my defense either stood around and watched from a distance or took a bad angle and went into the trash. Just had to put my head down for the defense when i saw those plays.
Then came the Kings Men vs the Mojo
Here is what I got..... All the Kings Men, and the King might I add, say you Mojo's are a bunch of Pussies because all you do is pitch!!!! pitch!!!!! pitch!!!! all the TIME!!!! Is that the only play you got? It is getting old!!! The King got a piece all right.......just was not the piece we were expecting. For what it is worth, the Mojo said to put your clothes on. Sorry king.
Finally we come to Niarobi vs Sunday Funday
Pass pass pass. Sunday Funday could not stop the pass. The warthogs whooped these boys to the tune of 429 yards of pass perfection. 32 of 49 with a 65% completion rate. Nice jumping catch by Barnaby in the 2nd. They knew your weakness was the 3 man rush. And they capitalized on it. I personally did not see that coming. Sunday was coming back in the 4th until that catch by Brady Howard in almost triple coverage. WOW!!!!! GG fellas. The game was great to watch!!!
Now for the other games............
La Flama vs The Rubber Duckies.
We now know who breathes fire and who uses matches!!!! BOOOO-YAH!!!! The Duckies just dominated this game. It was 20 to zip 3 minutes left before the half. Even special teams was lighting things up. La Flama starting kicking FG's just to stop a shutout. If execution is everything, then the Duckies were spot on.. Hit the bulleye's bullseye!!!! GG.
On to Venom vs Carthage......
Venom was stinging right from the beginning and then....then...carthage began to get it together. A little here...a little there....was letting Venom make some mistakes...Plus some sacks from Master Vader, the force is strong with this one, was affecting the Venom team. Then with 4 minutes left the secret weapon was unveiled. Leia Organa!!! Did I say that right? 2 key catches in tight coverage. Player of the game IMHO. Had Venom connected on that screen pass at 1:23 in the 4th, the game might have been different..... And if that is not enough, to top it off.......The pitch is back!!!! Great game!!!! And trust me Venom, they won, but it stung!!!!! They had to earn that win.
Then to to the Mice vs Wu Personalities.....
I now refer to you as the Adamantium Killer Rats!!!!! Damn that was brutal!!!! BRU - - - TAL!!!!!!! (With 5 syllables). The mice are Pitchin' when they want to be. What did I tell you? What did I say? I said lardaddy is not to be taken lightly!!!! That is what I said. And what???? You took him lightly and now what? You went from a small problem with a few mice to a full infestation. Just put you out!!!!! You are going to have to change personalities or something. 4 in a row. Not good!!!
You can get it back!!! Take it out on Venom next game. Prove that your network is better than this!!!! Don't have your back per se but early predictions are in your favor for game 6.
And we end with New Orleans vs the Red Hawks.
I do not have much to say about this game because the issue here is that Miami is just having a rough season.
Kick em' when they are down they tell me. But you guys are a great team and definitely WL class material in my book. The Gurupies do care about the other teams..... but not on the Green. Gotta bring what ya got and take what ya get!!!! And You took it. It was not pretty, but it was straight up fair. Does not look like New Orleans tried any trick plays or running one play over and over again.....they just played great dotball!!!! Gotta give them credit. New Orleans.....first class!!! First class!!! And a special shout out is in order..... It takes a long time to make a player and when you do, you just want that one game that stands out. Well 3 ints in a single WL game.....that has to be a record somewhere. Congrats to player Stickum Callihan. Finally got some rolls!!!! GG.
I seems that GLB sim now includes another random factor...... It is like each game favors, or ranks, characteristics in their effectiveness. I am developing categories. Like outside run (pitch), inside run, long pass, screen pass, power back, morale, energy, sim rolls, chemistry, etc. to name a few. Suggestions are welcome here. So I will begin inciuding in the predictions what I feel will be the order of those categories. More to come on this. Gotta keep the game fun and exciting.
