would be cool if the teams that are due to promote have a play-in game vs a team set to demote. If ya can't beat the teams that are demoting stay in pro?

Ya although getting to WL gives those teams a chance to recruit big dots to compete at this level. If those teams that are demoting couldn't hack it with that ability than I would at least like to see if someone else can.

What I had told catch I thought needed to happen is continue to take just the trophy winners from Pro, make it hard to get into WL, and since it's hard to stay in WL give the 9-12 seeds something to fight for if they are out of the playoff picture the last couple weeks. Demote the bottom 4 from each conference and bring up the 4 Pro Gold/Silver winners....
The reality is right now winning 2 playoff games in any pro is still fairly easy and if a lesser team gets lucky in game 2, they are in and have troubles in the WL.....
I just think it should be harder than 2 playoff pro wins to get in, I liked when the pro leagues you needed to win your conference to get to WL.
To further that argument, look how many of the 9-12 teams go down to pro and end up going 20-0 or 19-1 and get right back to WL.....

Actually, that's not a bad idea for an off-season tournament. Something to fill Day 41 through Day 48 with.

well teams like sumatra and detroit started with f'n awful team chem, they still arent full 100s yet. Now with so many losses in a row the players morale is in the 80s. Tough hole to get out of.

Yea. Even when those teams win 2 playoff games and make WL, most the recruiting (the little there is nowadays) is already done by then. The next season when they're in WL at 4-7 by the time day 20 rolls around, no one wants to sign with them because they know they'll be in Pro the following season. Agents would rather roll the dice with an up and coming Pro team with a chance to make WL or just a current WL playoff bound team
