that was simply a play they caught me on. when i created the play (which we'd used all season long) i felt like only the HB or FB needed to be covered if they went to the same side because if they both went out the blitz would get to the qb before he'd have time to hit that checkdown. nobody had ever kept the tight end in to block with both backs going to the same side of the field the entire season. turns out the guy covering the TE should have had FB as his second assignment and he didnt.
short version = ITS just found a good spot and took advantage of it. the other plays where it looks like i left the FB open were just those dumb momentum plays where the LB goes the wrong way.
