Probably, but my days off from work during the offseason came, and I said "I'm going to work on AI's that day", and that day came, and I didn't feel like it and did something else. Then it was another opportunity to do it that was squandered, and after that it was, "the feeling will pass when games start up in preseason". It never did. This past weekend I decided I was going to log in and retire all the dots (165 of them), and I didn't even feel like doing that in favor of doing something else.
It's pretty bad when walking away the game takes more effort than you really want to put in. That is another sign that you should walk away. I figured it would be better to do it before games counted in the event that I did actually manage to beat someone, only to blow the team up midseason and have someone miss the playoffs because they lost to a team that everyone else 255'd.
Well at least you didn't further make other want to quit the game as well....oh wait.

Seems like it would've been easier to just not log in and move on with life than to retire 100+ players, sell the team, post a few times and make sure everyone understands why you're quitting.
too much temptation to start the game back up with 100+ players.

Just seems to me you could have -0- cared your way through this season and then made your call. Being "decisive" in this case comes off as attention-seeking behavior that lessens the game for the other 31 teams and, on a small side note, blows the Fantasy league all to hell.
Good citizen, bad decision.
