I've never seen anybody win with the 25 zombie rule. Is it even possible? Seems like you'd need some /crazy/ RNG to not die before killing that many.
I won our last game with that. Granted, I was one roll of the dice away from succeeding or losing half my zombie collection. But if you've gone after health and bullets and strategically used some cards (like an appropriately used moltov cocktail), you can earn up a bunch of zombies fairly quickly.

I can see the appeal of a game that's basically all luck for drinking, but if drinking i'd rather play a more social game, like apples to apples or something along those lines.
It's not all luck. The key is simple rules that don't take forever to learn. Usually a lot of the folks we have over for B&B night like boardgames but aren't uber crazy on them like I can be. So simple things like Munchkin or Cosmic Encounter w/o the lucre rules works well.
And the games get pretty social; it definitely fosters a lot of conversation while we all play. But then these are all people I've hung with for almost 20 years.

I've never played the BSG game, no comment on that.
It's an interesting concept if you enjoyed the TV series. A few folks end up being cylons, and that is randomly determined. Halfway through the game, you do another draw and have another potential cylon. So you spend an early part of the game trying to help the human side, but not too much in case you end up being a cylon in the second half. But we discovered it's not a drinking game.
