I think I'm going to organize a BTE union and start a strike. We'll see how those HBs feel when they are getting crushed by the LBs that BTEs usually block.

No BTEs = fail. The two dots with the most pancakes in each conference aren't even on the pro bowl two deep.
I mean, we could argue against how Bort ranks P's as well (heavy favoring on punt yards as opposed to average/coffin corner/etc.). Things obviously aren't perfect, but it's purely a "for fun" type thing. No sense arguing over who should and shouldn't be involved.

It would be simple enough to have the 1st string be the top two TEs per Bort's rankings and the second string be the TE from each conference with the most pancakes (which should be the dot with the most pancakes).

And the rest of the O-line shouldn't be based on pancakes but on sacks allowed/hurries allowed per play or something like that, or some combination of the two. The MVP formulas are pretty blah right now on a lot of positions, but whatever, that's pretty low priority to get fixed.

Seems like it would be an easy fix if someone actually came up with some updated formulas and then put them in suggestions. Sort of like how your rankings got put in.

Except for the fact that pancake totals aren't an accurate statistic for determining who the best blocking TE is?

It's easy for things like punter or kicker, but it's really tough to get accurate rankings when we are mixing specialties and sims.
What accurately ranks FBs (with mixed stats of blocking related, receiving, rushing, returning, etc.) one season probably won't work as well as it should in the future.

Feel free to look to revcakes, hurries allowed, and sacks allowed. The two pancake leaders haven't allowed any hurries or sacks and both have fewer revcakes than any other BTEs that could be considered contenders for the spots.

Heck, that only took 10 seasons.

I meant in terms of pancake totals being irrelevant because of play quantities. The same reason my FB on Korb "outperforms".
I'm not wasting my time breaking down blocking TE plays for quantity of run plays and quantity of competed pass plays to develop accurate measurements.

Then just go by pancakes and use the main stat like every other position does.
