I signed a dot to Alpine (with only two players having a lower EL than him) and he reduced the EL of the team.

which changed how many players are included in the EL average
Which added a lower EL dot already on the roster into the team EL average
which lowered the EL of the team

Here's the thing.

If you have 31 players, then your EL will be based on your top 15 players. If you add 1 more player, the average is going to be based on your top 16 players, with the added player being lower EL than your average for 15. Thus, unless that added player has a higher EL than what your average was before, your EL will drop.

Oh - nope, it's the top half of the roster. Top 40 dots would actually be a better number.
