WEEK 4 RANKINGS
LION

1 Somalia Pirates (4-0) - Coasting through the season so far. They get Philly next and then CWE in two weeks so some solid match ups to look forward to.

2 Guyana Punch (4-0) - Held the Silverbacks to under 150 yds of offense. Right now they are looking to live up to the promise they showed last season.

3 CWE (3-1) - Strong game by CWE as they took down SD. They'll have two weeks to rest up for Somalia now.

4 San Diego (3-1) - AquaBats struck first against CWE. Unfortunately, it was also the last time they would make it in the endzone.

5 Philly Franklins (3-1) - Big game against the top ranked Pirates this week. Their 3 wins have all come against suspect teams so they'll need to pull out all the stops if they want to beat Somalia.

6 Zambezi Silverbacks (2-2) - Both losses came against teams that are looking very much like contenders for the top seeds in their conferences. The wins came against 2 teams that may not even sniff the playoffs though so Zambezi needs to start beating some of the better teams in the weeks to come.

7 Mega City Monsters (2-2) - After opening the season 0-2 this team has shown improvement every week. Taking down Lincoln was big but considering the Saints struggles this season it's hard to know if that amounts to much right now. They'll get Philly in 2 weeks which will be a good chance to further show how they're progressing.

8 Oklahoma Outlaws (3-1) - The Outlaws are sitting at 3-1 but I'm still not sold on them. The next 4 weeks will definitely reveal if this team is for real because so far they've only beaten lower ranked teams and got stomped by the Elephants.

9 Lincoln (1-3) - Saints were down 0-27 before they scored their first points. Not living up to the promise shown last season so far but they should be able to string together some wins the next 3 weeks.

10 Nile River Assassins (2-2) - A quarter of the way through the season and Nile already has almost half as many wins as last season. They may struggle the next 2 weeks but they still have a shot at the playoffs if they continue this way.

11 Transylvania (2-2) - Pick up another win but they won't be celebrating long with CWE up next.

12 Texas Longhorns (0-4) - A rough season so far but can they take advantage of a struggling Saints team next week?

13 Nuremberg Nighthawks (0-4) - With MHWD up next they should finally get their first win.

14 Manchester Mass Murderers (1-3) - Their lone win came against what is arguably the worst team in the conference. Can they manage another in the coming weeks?

15 Cape Verde Aces (0-4) - Had their best showing yet but the results were still the same. Next week won't go any better.

16 Medicine Hat Witch Doctors (0-4) - Another loss.

ELEPHANT

1 Carthage Mad Clash (4-0) - Dominating every team that they face. Will the same happen this week against RMT?

2 A7 (4-0) - About to hit the first long rough stretch of the season with Warriors, SoA, ICB and the 49ers the next 4 weeks. Will tell us a lot about how A7 has improved.

3 Warriors (4-0) - 21 point 4th Q saved them from their first loss of the season. They've taken down 3 probable playoff teams already and if they get past A7 next week they should be in the running for a home playoff game already.

4 RMT (4-0) - Still moving along but they haven't played a top team yet. That all changes as they face #1 ranked Carthage next week.

5 Nairobi (3-1) - Can coast for the next 2 weeks before facing Carthage.

6 Gotta Have More Cowbell (4-0) - Still haven't played a top team but they're still undefeated. Should be able to take down BSS before they get CMC, WWR, RMT, 49ers and Nairobi. That will be the stretch that will really show if they're ready for APL.

7 ICB (3-1) - Had a 6 point lead going into the 4th Q but an early 4th Q TD gave the Warriors a 1 point lead. A FG by ICB gave them back the lead but on the ensuing kickoff they gave up a 98 yd TD return and that ended their hopes. Two lost fumbles didn't help their cause either.

8 WWR (3-1) - First loss of the season and it was a big one. They'll be playing both Rocky Mountain teams the next 2 weeks so it's a shot to rise or fall in the rankings.

9 49ers (2-2) - Great win for the 49ers that showed tons of improvement from last season. The next 7 weeks are rough but now they don't look quite so bad.

10 Sons (2-2) - A pretty even game throughout but the Sons gave up a TD with just over a minute remaining in the game to fall here.

11 ECS (1-3) - Dominated ABD in the second half as they scored 27 points while shutting out ABD.

12 ABD (0-4) - Went into the half tied up but then got shutout in the second half. It's getting harder and harder to see ABD getting to .500 this season much less the playoffs again.

13 BSS (0-4) - I can't remember the last time I could think that BSS would open a season 0-7 but right now it looks like that could be the case this season.

14 Guyana (0-4) - Dominated by Nairobi. They get ECS and Norfolk next so they could be able to squeak a win out of those two.

15 Norfolk (0-4) - Haven't scored again since their one FG in the first game.

16 New Jersey Juggernauts (0-4) - Another loss.

I don't remember the last time the Rhinos lost a game that bad in the APL... usually we are on the other end of a beating

Only way from here is up though.

I cant believe you bumped A7 ahead of the Warriors.

That will only last about 20 more hrs

We at A7 would like to go ahead and concede victory to the Warriors. Anything we do will be futile anyway, so we might as well start focusing on our next game.

I agree.
