I think we'll need a clarification from Bort/Catch on whether or not the aggressive behavior indicated in this thread is warranted by 'overjumping' and an intended side-effect of Aggressive, or if it's truly a bug that needs to be addressed pretty quickly.

the problem isn't that they are necessarily overjumping it's that they are jumping in a random direction which is not in the correct direction that any sensible person would ever jump

at least that's why I was upset about it

the only two in the original post that look waay out of wack are these two in my opinion

the other two, are slightly of kilter but it looks like they're going in the general direction of the ball and the miscalculation can be accounted for w/ agility/vision....

This one is a known bug (I believe) in which the horizontal axis tends to flip when defenders are in the endzone...not sure why that's never been fixed

hmmmm those two definitely look weird (again like the first)

in the end i don't think it's possible for us to determine if this is a bug or intended overjumping. Marking needs QA admin

Accidentally started a duplicate thread, so I'm reposting here:




CB3 is semi-Aggressive
CB1 is Aggressive.

instead, CB3 runs too far upfield.



This happened all season long, I remember my co-owner commenting during the preseason about how our zone cornerback "Corn Erback" kept missing his mark for deflections.

CB2 is supposed to be on aggressive for INTs
FS is on semi-aggressive for INTs

Go ahead and file this - issue is defenders on aggressive are over jumping routes. Might be working as intended since defenders are on aggressive and this behavior is not replicated on semi-aggressive but need to have Bort review and determine if it is an issue or needs correction.

CB3 is in position to make a deflection, is set to semi-aggressive, then jumps up in front of the receiver and out of position.
Luckily it was double coverage and the CB1 set to aggressive stayed on him and made the deflection because he no longer had help over the top.

These reactions are backwards though, CB1 should jump the route for an interception (but would turn to the right not to the left) and the CB3 should stay back and go for the deflection.

What I don't understand is why they are jumping the wrong direction, I would be fine if they were overjumping the right way but when they overjump perpendicular to the path of the ball that is why I posted this bug

Per Bort this is working as intended. Closing as issue determined not a bug.

Sometimes the receiver just reacts better than the defender to the pass position.

CB is assigned to cover WR 1, but when TE gets close, he leaves WR 1 to cover TE


This was previously a reported bug in needs more information that I can no longer find. I think Mike Rogers may have closed it out because it was a while since the last update. There are more examples of this type of behavior in that thread though if someone knows where it is.
