Hey Gerr, odds of you being in Gold right now would be slim to none. You brought in another GM to run your team in the Silver League playoffs!

Not true. I had beaten FT once that season already, and ended up beating him with LE's help 10-0. I honestly believe I could have scored at least one FG against him if I ran the offense. As for D-Tit, he came from a very weak division and wasn't as good in S13-Silver as he became in S14-Gold. I beat him in the championship game 24-3. I saw a weakness in his defense that LE never really exploited, so I am confident that had I ran the offense, I would have easily scored more than 3 against him, maybe even as much or more than LE. The bottom line is that I firmly believe I would have still won both games, though maybe a bit closer than LE. But the truth is we will never know.

I did, but didn't make a big deal about it because you knew more than I did and it wasn't a major weakness. In the end, we won and big, so I was happy.

I didn't bring it back up, someone else did and I was simply responding. The main reason I had LE help was that I work 12 hour shifts 3-4 days a week. Those two games both fell on work days for me, so getting someone to run my offense gave me extra time to plan my defense and not worry about getting in trouble at work. Plus I was spending a lot of time doing the defense on LE's SBWL.

And let me put this to rest. LE came to me to help him with his defense. I only asked him to be my OC in trade. Ping's FT scared me a hell of a lot more than your team MGeezy2186, which LE help me more on that game. I am 100% sure I could have beaten your D-Tit team in the championship game, but since I already had LE on board and his offense was in place, I took the LAZY way out and let him do the championship game.

I think it's tough to regulate this. As LE stated, a lot of us came up together in pee-wee. Thunder66, LE, and myself all came up in the same circle with teams in various pee-wee leagues before Gold/Silver/Copper existed (of course those bastards got to Gold one year before me..dammit) and then we each had our own set of GMs and several of them now own or operate pee-wee teams and some of them have made it to Gold or are on their way. In a perfect world I totally agree with you, I think it'd be awesome if there were more variety in the elite league but for the most part many of us are mentors or have been mentored and still have ties with numerous teams. It's not like the rest of GLB where there are so many different leagues to pick from. If pee-wee is what you prefer, there's only one league to shoot and not very many tiers to get there.

Seriously? Please tell me that you know enough about football or even this cheap imitation to know that the 10 points of offense provided by LE meant that your defense had more field to work with and less time spent defending it. Not to mention the possibility that you run some bonehead play that results in a scoring turnover. I'm not saying you would have lost; well maybe I am, but the point is you didn't run the offense LE did so he gets the credit for the offense and you get the credit for the defense.

I don't know who ran your team last season in Gold but you did pretty good so just standby that if you want to demonstrate your merit in Gold.

Just out of curiosity who setup the defense in the GA vs. SBWL conference game last season?

I had nothing to do with SBWL last season, S14. In fact, I played SBWL 3 times in Tourney games last season, including in two championship games, only won one in OT... Only time I have ever been on SBWL in any part was for the last two games of S13, which I helped them on defense to win the Conference finals, I think against IA, and then lost against the Crabs in the championship game.

Ya, lets get back on topic. I know it would be very hard to enforce, but I am open to ideas.

I'm not going to lie, I suck at defense. I can stop teams enough to win but I am all offense. My strength as a DC is I watch the games each game and adjust each play as they get beat. Even if they get a 4 yard gain I try and correct how they got those 4 yards. I am amazed I do so well with the Surf but like I was saying I fix my defense from game to game. It was my defense last season up until the championship game. I have zero knowledge of tagging. I haven't done it since they came out with it. So when I make it to the big show I ask the people I trust to take over my defense and tag the other team because quite frankly I can't and don't have the knowhow. Last season I asked Thunder to tag for me. It was my defensive plays for the most part just he tagged for me. He did a great job too. I just can't tag.

Instead of asking someone to do it each season I make it to the championship game, I now asked Dead Ed to be my DC. The guy has amazing skills as a DC and is probably the best team in pee wee with no custom or boosting. Back before tagging I ran my defense even in the championship game because we didnt have tagging before season 12 I think it was.

Yes, back on topic...I have dropped all my GM positions on other Gold teams! The only one I GM for is mine, the NOPW. Now that we got that out the way, you can rest easy that I am in no way plotting with anyone else on trying to beat your team!

I can tell you this though...we are having a Give Gerr a nickname thread on our team forum. Will let you know what it is when we decide the winning name!

So the guy who games the system is also the one who tries to tell other people who can and can't be on their team.

Gerr, you need to see how hypocritical you sound. You change coaches for playoff games, and try to act like other teams who have the same coaches for 3 seasons cheat. Sounds like its what you would do given the chance.
.
You can keep your elitism to yourself. Your idea is complete fail, suggesting that someone who has spent a ton of flex on a team over the course of seasons has to be removed from a team because they have sucess.
