I'd suggest making any point differential greater than 28 points worth the same. In other words, a 38-3 blowout against a good team is equal to a 112-0 shutout of a peewee league squad. It's simple and achieves the same thing.

Somebody just do the damn poll and let's get on with it. This is just like arguing about the week 2 AP/ESPN/COACHES NCAA polls. It's pointless until more games have been played. It will all work itself out in the end.

As far as one conference being better than the other, somebody do the average level of ALL players in each conference and post it. That is the easiest solution. For example, Alpha will take a hit because the Stampede have such low levels, but the Lookouts are all high levels, so it will even out.

it also will help us that the stampede only have like a handfull of players at the most.

I hope this realy doesnt boil over into an all out Alpha vs Beta rivalry. That can be messy at best, and would be a total waist of time... Heh

Regardless of the "Statistic," having one Dominant team (which isn't even here anymore) does not make that the better conference.

When I line up the conferences from top to bottom (1st place team vs 1st, 2nd place vs 2nd, etc.), I think this season Zeta Conf. is clearly a bit tougher, starting with the 3 4-0 teams sitting up top, and ending with our 2 0-4 teams that would likely destroy Alpha's bottom two.

Call me a homer if you want, Alpha MAY have been top dog last season but Zeta is a cut above this go round.

Quoting this is almost as pointless as posting it to begin with.

I guess the whole power rankings fell apart. But if it was to make a return, the College Station Chewpacabras deserve to be in the top 13 or 12. I wont say we should be any higher just yet, as we are playing several of the "lesser" teams in our conference early in our schedule opposed to what happened last year. If we get a win this week then that would put us at a complete turn around from last years 2-5 start as we would be 5-2 heading into our matchup with the hellhounds, which I hope to get competitive play out of my team.

Is somebody willing to update the rankings and just make the formula public so everybody knows how it worked out??

I keep considering doing power rank or predictions... Dunno if i want to make that kind of time commitment though.

Sernai have done the most with the least! We don't have any super high level players but we are still alive for a playoff berth!
