the canucks i know are fuming about this loss ... if they only could get over their insecure desire to be better than the U.S. at something, they could live happily without constantly comparing themselves to us
Forum > General Discussion > Sports > This now makes it twice in less than 3 months that Team USA owned Canada in their own sport...

Canadian bacon compared to regular bacon is not as good. Healthier, sure, but fat taste better!

Very possible unless Canada pulls their shit together. They played like crap in these first 3 games, and I have a hard time seeing them beat Russia.

No, it's not really possible. Canada only faces Sweden if they beat Russia, and Canada only beats Russia if they pull their shit together, and if they pull their shit together, they're def. not losing to Sweden.

WeŽll notice. People always underestimate the swedes, just like we want it. We have a better team now then the squad that won the last Olympics.

What makes this whole thing even funnier is how in the U.S. hockey is basically a third or fourth tier sport (with our third and fourth tier athletes playing it, at best), whereas in Canada it's the holy grail that the best of their best aspire to play, and we still break our big American painuses up in yinz on your home ice.

Canada and Russia have better individual stars for sure, but so far not been better as a team. I mean damn. Canada had some serious problems with Swiss, and didnt impress vs USA as well. Putting a bunch of stars together dont always work.
But sure, cant argue with Canada or Russia beeing the favorites. As they are in any championship, like the 2006 Olympics as well
If Canada benched Brodeur they should have a better chance anyway.
