Well, right now I still don't have a job, and with the dedicated players I have, I only have to do the offensive gameplans now. Besides, for the sake of the team, I see it as in my best interests to keep watch over the league. That makes prep for each team a little easier, as I know what they have done in past games and the roster they did it with.

Guys, sorry that this is so late. I SWEAR I wrote this up yesterday and posted it, but something happened and it's not on here. So, I am having to rewrite it. Luckily, I remember most of it, so it should be close to my original one.

...And Another One Bites the Dust! Ladies and Gentlemen, our Game of the Week again delivered all we wanted and more! It was a defensive struggle, and the game could have gone either way. Now we are down to two undefeated, and I predict that they will stay that way for at least this week. On to the rankings:

1. Hawthorn Headhunters- Hang on again for a nail-biter. Having the K miss 3 FG hurt.
2. Future Llamas of America- Have to play the #4 and #3 teams in back to back weeks, like Hawthorn did. Their game this week, if they overlook Saipan, could prove deadly. DON'T OVERLOOK SAIPAN!!!
3. Sacred Haven Knights- Lack of balance on offense is what made the difference.
4. Suva Hawks- Got all the anger out in a BLOWOUT! Biggest win yet this season.
5. Christchurch Parrots- Showed off the powerful rushing attack, and the passing game was very accurate also.
6. Sunshine Coast Condors- They are balanced on offense.
7. Nottingham Hoods- I think they are the surprise team so far, but Suva will shock them.
8. Lincoln Breeze- Have improved and got back to winning last game.
9. GERMAN WILDDOGS- First win with their new name.
10. South Sydney Rabbitohs- When they can pass, they are vicious. When they can't, they have to run, and these rabbits are too overweight to do that.
11. Saipan Storm- Need to improve the catching game as well as the pass d.
12. Berlin Devine Right- How many heartbreakers can they handle?
13. Sandersville WarChickens- What's the difference between them and the '07 Falcons? Just a little more talent...
14. Solomon Islands Pack- They won't win another game until Redcliff comes to town, and even then I dunno.
15. Redcliff Razamanaz- They have been improving, and it shows. They are looking forward to next week's game against
16. Wellington Assassins- They WISH they had Bobby Petrino for a coach. They probably have John McKay, coach of the only winless team, the '76 Bucs.

Most of the games seem to be blowouts; I see only 3 that will be close. One of them has to be chosen, so I picked where the talent is even. Our #6 team Sunshine Coast Condors face the #9 GERMAN WILDDOGS, and I see a close one. GERMAN has had a more difficult schedule to start than Sunshine Coast, and I give them the nod in an upset, pulling it out in the 4th Quarter.

I just realized what happened with this thread- it was posted in a Oceania AA#4, not here. I'm also a little mad that I was trying to decide between Sunshine Coast/GERMAN and Christchurch/Sandersville, and I chose the wrong upset. Sandersville pulled it out in the 4th Quarter, and it looks like they have picked up some talent/boosted as well recently. Looking forward, I can say this about the playoffs- you will need to have at least an 8-8 record to make it, and even then you will need the tiebreaker to go your way. In the coming weeks, the picture will clear, but I don't think I am wrong in saying that the current top 4 will make the playoffs. Back to the reason why I am typing, my poll hasn't changed too much:

1. Hawthorn Headhunters- Until they lose, will be in the top spot.
2. Future Llamas of America- Let's see how good of a team they really are...
3. Suva Hawks- Want to show everyone that they are #1 other than that one fluke loss.
4. Sacred Haven Knights- Next 3 games will go far toward playoff seeding for them.
5. Sunshine Coast Condors- Look outmatched against a strong Headhunters' squad.
6. Christchurch Parrots- Best of the middle of the pack currently.
7. Nottingham Hoods- Weak early schedule might portray them stronger than they are.
8. South Sydney Rabbitohs- Have the talent to be top 6, top 5 even.
9. Lincoln Breeze- If they could give the same performance every game, they would also compete for top 5.
10. GERMAN WILDDOGS- 4 game stretch against other middle teams (and the Headhunters) will effectively either create the momentum they need to make the playoffs or doom them to failure.
11. Saipan Storm- Their second half of the season will show their mettle.
12. Sandersville WarChickens- Need to string together some wins to prove they are finally legit!
13. Berlin Devine Right- This team is underachieving, much like Sandersville.
14. Solomon Islands Pack- Best of the worst, for now...
15. Redcliff Razamanaz- Should win their first game here. Could even jump Solomon!
16. Wellington Assassins- Weakest team on here. The only thing is, there is a free agency, and they have the money to afford better players, unlike the '76 Bucs.

There's a few interesting matchups. Battle of the winless, battle of the almost undefeated in two different games. I pick the Suva Hawks and the Future Llamas of America. Suva has more talent, if not the most in the league, and they really want to show that they should be #1. As long as they do their homework, I have to go with Suva Hawks.

Great work B. Your effort is very much appreciated.

Mind if I make a little request? Would you mind starting a new thread for each Power Poll? This thread is getting a bit gangly.

In any case, thanks again. Keep it up~

...That sound you just heard means that the Future Llamas of America have fallen, and we have only one undefeated team left. After this week, I will create a new thread for the second half of the season, along with my analysis of each team and some predictions, like who will make the playoffs and what teams to watch out for. Here are my week 8 rankings:

1. Hawthorn Headhunters- Special Teams is a concern for them, but they still win.
2. Suva Hawks- They have proven that they are top 2, and want to get revenge in the playoffs.
3. Sacred Haven Knights- The usual offense wasn't there, but the defense sure was.
4. Future Llamas of America- Suffering their first loss, they want to get back to winning against Sacred Haven. My question is "Are they able to regroup and stop the pass?"
5. Sunshine Coast Condors- Very good team, just need a little more depth.
6. Christchurch Parrots- Facing Suva leaves them at #6.
7. South Sydney Rabbitohs- only 4-3 team, gaining momentum.
8. Nottingham Hoods- Redcliff provides possibly an easy win.
9. Sandersville WarChickens- Two wins in a row, and they are getting back in the playoff race. This team could be catching fire.
10. Lincoln Breeze- They want a piece of the Headhunters now.
11. Saipan Storm- Are skidding. They must beat Solomon Islands or else...
12. GERMAN WILDDOGS- need to beat South Sydney to get back on track, otherwise it will become a long slippery slope for them that will doom them this season.
13. Berlin Devine Right- The stats seem favorable, but the chemistry does not.
14. Solomon Islands Pack- Losing 5 in a row since being 1-1.
15. Redcliff Razamanaz- They won, but Solomon hung tough when it looked like Sandersville clearly outmatched them.
16. Wellington Assassins- They are only good for providing hope and dissipating anger and frustration for every other team in the league.

The matchups seem better this week than last. I am advising every to tune in for the Sandersville WarChickens as they play at home against the Berlin Devine Right. This game has major implications for both teams, and I think Sandersville is growing into the team I expected when the season started. Expect them to win.

LOL ... Antonio Coleman, our LE, has been asked to pee in a cup by the Oceania governing body. Personally, I saw him take some angry pills before the game.
