1. Great idea... horrible headache when guys leave the GLB or want to retire their player.
2. That would be cool to see... but my old timers suck, so I'd just be a spectator. lol

The 1 dot per agent thing is really hard to keep together...I'd rather get guys that will for sure stick and maybe have them make 2-3

If there is an over-abundance of agents, can always have 2 slow build teams with 1 dot per agent still. Team A will be the "main" team. Anyone that leaves, the replacements can be taken from Team B, then recruit to fill up Team B as needed. It will be 7 seasons at least before the team/s really take shape anyway, so plenty of time for roster holes to happen.

works for me...just wanted to be somewhat inclusive as we have a number of good agents in Africa and this isn't an elitist thing, but point well taken on ensuring a committed group that will stay for the long haul...and let's admit..actually enjoy gaming together

I would also like to see the big names of the past go at it together too..that would be a fun way to send them off into retirement and be a nice way to further differentiate Africa

1. is fine, but remember with 1 dot 1 agent if somebody does get burned out it is a lot easier to replace 1 dot than if someone quits that has 12 dots on the team.

yeah with #2 some of those guys weren't s1 guys and are planning on being very competitive in the WL next season

It's cool to talk about, but how do we even begin to set either of these things in motion?

Thats alot of work finding the agents seeing who fits where, etc

well, I really don't have a super star dot from the APL. My only dot to play in the APL at all was my first dot ever made and he is notably mediocre. He does have more career pass deflections than R Jones or Reed though. He just can't catch the damn ball.

That said, I build good dots and would be willing to be a part of this is someone actually takes the initiative to get it up and going.

That's the issue man... do you remember how incredibly crazy it was to try to get the APL Hall of Fame done???
This would be worse... We'd need a truly committed committee of well respected owners/agents to sit down, figure out how things should work, who is going to own the team, who is going to coordinate... it would be really difficult to make everyone happy with all the different levels of egos in the APL. lol

Guys that have been around and done well like...
rjssob, palmer, Shalubis, hokiemon, austin.jones, kalkmanc, Skanker, Hornfan, etc...
Would all have to sit down and figure something like this out.

He was in AAA as a level 4 (lol Africa expansion teams woo!). He was in AAA for S3-4, then won a Championship in SA A. He's been with Dakar ever since, which I believe is 1 season in AA, 3 seasons in AAA and 1 APL, 1 WL. Are you seriously claiming that FS at lower levels get better stats though? It's not like DEs or HBs man. He had more PDs in his one season in the WL than R Jones did. Is that better? I'm not really looking to shit up another thread with you talking about your FS though, so it is what it is. He's very average, but he was my first player so what do you expect.

One thing that will help is that many of us have already retired our Season 1 dots. For example, jdawg already retired A-Train. If we have enough of APLs best, I think the Hall of Fame team sounds like a good idea.

I also agree with the 2 team approach to slow building. I'm thinking we should start the slow build teams spread out kinda thin on 3/4 casual teams(mainly just to make sure we get as much XP as possible before we hit lvl 25). Then, we can move them to two regular teams if we want to make a run at one of the Pro Leagues. If not, we can just keep them in the Casual Leagues and merge to 2 teams.

So is this an elitist thing and only those who were fortunate enough to start out in Pro and were here forever get in or is it an Africa thing?

I think you are going to have a hard damn time finding 50+ people who had L33T players in APL at one time or another. Gonna be hard enough to find that many just associated with APL.

And

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=324469 in his second season as a Pro, is he not considered good because of it?

Easiest one I can find but there are plenty out there.
