There is a reason we keep track of stats, why we have trophies for being the league leader, why people bitch all the time about playing gutted teams, why people want to see more than just pancakes as stats for O-linemen, and why people are complaining about what BFM/Hali did. People in this game do care about stats.

Sure it is...don't allow someone to GM/Own teams in the same league. Which is a horrible idea btw. But what are you gonna do about friend A and friend B who are different people who GM or own those teams? No, I blamed him for his resolution of banning everyone. Try to keep up. But since you want me to have an argument, I'll have one. My argument would be stop caring about meaningless stats. There was no way possible Hali was going to lose to BFM, so the only thing you could realistically have a gripe about is stats.

I know you want good stats. I want good stats too. But until the gutted team issues are fixed, the stats are broken, and making them more broken doesn't mean they weren't broken in the first place.

The best thing to do is to stop replying to their posts or trying to give logical answers to stupid questions they are asking, when there is no way in hell they are going to change their mind. It is pretty obvious they are all OK with what happened and/or they think they did GLB a great service.

Actually that is the second best thing. The best thing would be to let Bort know what you want done about it.

Agreed. This is a form of entertainment. At this point, these guys are like the small group at one table making the floor show un-enjoyable for the entire room. I seriously doubt management would be trying to come up with ways to stop that table and future tables from being a problem.

Yeah because no one has complained about gut jobs ruining stats before right? No one has ever complained about mid-season gutting and playoff seedings before.

I'm still confused that if the sim is so fucked and stats are even more meaningless why keep playing the game and trying to get the highest stats and brag about other dots? Just to fuck with other people who do care more? I think that's the whole thing bort was addressing in that post of his. Finding bugs in the sim that don't matter (like being able to kneel the ball the whole time or something else that would never happen with 2 teams who care) aren't that big of a deal and dont' "expose" anything. I guess the thing is that i'm figuring bort wanted people who care about the game, wins, stats, trophies, and other stuff he installed to not be fucked around with by people who are "just doing it for the lulz" and messing with all of that because they don't care. Either way it's not a huge deal but still kinda silly.

Don't really care that much about the whole thing (nor do i really know what's going on but just gathering from a few posts i read) but i guess that is my reasoning in that post i saw of bort's stickied. Halifax better watch out or Bort may Dong them in the playoffs. Guessing he has the donger powers

I mean, i think the sim is still pretty stupid too but at least things get adjusted (for better and worse on some things but on the overall spectrum slightly edges to better) every season or two. I'm not interested in creating many more players after retiring some awhile back mainly because i'm not 100% positive GLB will be around and as active in 12 seasons (~18-20months) by the time a new dot finished. Either that or i'm not sure i'll be that interested even with improvements in almost 2 years

You specifically referred to the 3 strike rule of California. I'm not worried about the laws in other countries, because they all have some that are pretty stupid, some worse than this one, but you aren't going to prison for life for stealing donuts or a pack of gum in many other states than CA.
