Ughhhh... this offseason has been exhausting. Can't wait for games.
All the folks you want to sign as backups want to go be starters elsewhere.
All the folks you want to sign as starters want to go to USA Pro or Africa Pro (wtf?)

And that's not even mentioning the folks who aren't even L15 yet, but get paid 6 digit salaries with 30K bonuses... for 1 season ?

Didn't really lose anyone of value, but only added two starters. Was really hoping to do more. Good thing I'm a fast typist, cuz I typed quite a lot to a lot of folks.
Only consolation was that like 8 people regretted their signings right after they made them and want to get traded to my team in 2 weeks

I envy you teams who have been able to get & keep all that depth while keeping them all active.

It's going to be another tough season... we're too good to get the boot, but right now not good enough to be a playoff team in the West.

Umm.... since this is a texas-oriented league, anyone have any Cedric Benson jokes ? Oh wait, he is a joke. I know he's not the first idiot to play in the NFL & he won't be the last... but WTF is he thinking ? The guy just probably cost himself over 10 million dollars.

Most of us Bear fans are celebrating. Man, what a head case. At least Ricky Williams got a couple of huge seasons out his nutzoid behavior. We got didly, and Benson pocketed about 15 million. His production/contract might go down in history as one of the most expensive dollar per yard returns.

Here's what a #4 draft choice and $35 million bought us -

2005 67 carries/272 yds
2006 157 carries/647 yds
2007 196 carries/674 yds

He held out his rook season and missed camp completely, the first year was basically a waste. His second year, he couldn't beat out Thomas Jones for starter, and caused problems in the locker room with his pouting about it. They traded TJ and gave the job to Benson in 2007. He showed up at TC the heaviest and slowest he'd ever been and did squat for the year.

C'ya!

I think some of these kids should flip burgers at Micky D's for the summer between college and pro...let them get a taste of what the real world is like and get some values. It really is getting ridiculous in all of pro sports now.

As UT grad, I'm so incredibly disappointed how he ended up. My only hope is that he gets scrared straight and manages to ressurect his career somewhere somehow -- but I'm not holding my breath.

Its like he is a kid. i mean... if you were a NFL runningback, and the team you are on drafted a rookie back in the 2md round... wouldnt that be a wake up call?

Then geting busted on the boat, fair or unfair... and your told that is strike one in a 2 strike system... wouldnt that be your wake up call?

And then to drink when told not to, after going thru all of the above... and then get slammed with a DWI and smile in your lock up photo... what else is there to really say about this guy?

Apparently, the only left to say is "well, bye".

I doubt any team will pick him up

He will be picked up. He may even excel where he winds up. There are several teams that he would be a good fit with.

I am dissapointed in the guy. I wish he cared more. There are very few athletes as dissconnected as this guy.

What about the big Penn state flops Curtis Ennis and Ka-jana Carter? Those were some pretty big contracts for a couple of pigs that didn't do shit.

Must you remind us of our RB woes and big busts? I mean really, give us a break man.

Oh, and the whole west is better than East thing, completely over-rated.

Exactly, these guys are paid millions to play a game, and yet they don't want to fork over any money for a personal driver.

If Jeff Garcia had done that...he could've still played for the 49ers.
