At first i was for it because i thought you were suggesting that while the regular playoffs are happening, the lower 8 teams have their own little playoff just for fun and something to do. But delaying the good teams season for 10 days just so two underacheiving teams can join the fun? No.

No rewards and "second chances" for underachievers.
Plus, the way things are set up around here, there's rarely more than 4 teams who can really put up a fight in most of the conferences anyway. The winner of a "loser's bracket" tourney would only get mauled anyway.

Horrible Idea ....
You're in the bottom 8 because you LOST TOO MANY GAMES.
Should the WINNING teams take a week off waiting for the LOSERS to keep playing???
Seems like rewarding the loser teams...you get to play more games.

Why not set them up in a bracket format like the top 16 teams.
Makes more sense than adding 4 meaningless scrimmages.
